5 1/2 years is a long time to know anyone. If it’s this bad my brother, you need to leave. If her family is nearby, notify them. But you need to leave.

Addicts only get sober when they are ready to. There’s nothing you can do. More importantly, it’s not your job to fix her problems.

I was with a BPD chick for a long time. When I confronted her about her drinking, she would stop for 2-3 days and get back into it. When it got so bad she got us tossed out of a friends wedding she “quit”. She went from a 2 bottles of wine and 5 bowls of weed every night to Xanax and a vape pen so I could never know how much she was smoking.

The thing is, addicts have deep issues that you are qualified to fix. Save yourself, and pray that she gets the help she needs. But you can’t fix her.

If she's drinking alone and getting that drunk she's got a serious problem. And yes, binge drinking even once a week is an alcoholic behaviour.

If she's in first year university and you've been together for 5.5 years that means you're high school relationship. Dump her and move on, you're young.

It's much easier when your ex- girlfriend has a drinking problem. One thing that I've learned is that substance abusers are control freaks. They use their problems to control others and move them about on the board of life. Her drinking is just the tip of the iceberg. You cannot save her. Move on.

Be a man and confront her about her problem, lead the relationship. Tell her that she is getting really trashed, and its bad for her and bad for you, and you want her to stop getting blackout shitfaced.

Then it's on her to fix her problem and if you dont see an improvement start pulling back and getting phone numbers.

The issue is you tried to made a booze hound into a girlfriend.

Being her boyfriend is only enabling her alcoholism, 100%. High functioning alcoholic women are pretty good at lining up beta orbiters like you as their enablers.

Don't take it personally, this is part of game of alcoholism. Your option is to keep playing the game, or drop her. Don't think for a second that if she wants you enough she'll sober up, because she'll lie to your face for months and bloody well won't. Booze is her baby.

How do you even find LTR qualities in the girl?

Truth is, with these "clubbers" at worst shes looking to cheat, at best shes there to soak up male validation, Shes out at the bars and clubs to feel single again.

You cant change this sort of behaviour, from experience shell just get better at hiding it from you, or at best tell you parts of the story, such as telling you how shes just going to this great "restaurant" with her friends to eat out at.

Heres the catch

Every single one of those friends are single

A late reservation was made

In the evening the restaurant turns into a club

And she just happened to stay abit longer for the clubbing aspect of it.

You see where im coming from? It was planned. She told you a balant lie, women lie when they know there doing something sketchy and want to hide it from you. I no longer date these type of women, plate materiel at best.

Demote to plate and start gaming new women, dont mention anything to her.
