Buy some good disposable razors, learn how to maintain them so they stay sharp, use them. If you don't have the genes, you don't have a beard, simple.

Trim regularly. Collect in jar. When jars full, mix with paste, excessive amounts of cologne, and reapply to face. There. Problem solved. Combine with pubic trimmings for extra scraggly ALLAH ACKBAR beard.

Nothing but time and genetics make a provable scientific difference.

If you are going to grow it in, don't stop short, wait a full month to 40 days to see how it'll look. It's somewhere around 35 days for the follicles to finish their cycle.

If that doesn't work, just give it up, ain't got the genes.

Genetics and age are the big determinants.

I couldn't grow a beard in my early 20s at all. I looked like a Mexican drug dealer. Started again at around 28, and it's long and huge and awesome.

Some guys told me he used to rub an onion on his face... Cannot verify this as I never tried it. my beard grows all the way up to under my eye balls.
