When it no longer benefits you

[–]FuckboyAWALT30 points31 points32 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Drains you. No benefits. Even this thought is an indicator to end the relationship.

When you have to ask that question is a good sign.

This. This was my first thought. Also, when she stops respecting you.

[–]Chlorinated_Spheroid 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Bingo. The minute she stops respecting you is the minute she stops trying. Pulling away + dread game might get her to come into line but in all reality you're better off chasing new tail. If you aren't feeling it you're just gonna loathe your relationship

The cost(s) begin to outweigh the benefit(s) and flipping the equation around becomes too exhausting of a task.

To be a little more concrete, maybe sex is dwindling and bitchiness (on her end) is going up. Maybe now you suspect you're 'losing' her, so you begin to worry and demonstrate neediness (loss of frame) when that wasn't the case in the beginning.

Personally, if I find myself consistently thinking about how to salvage a relationship to the point that I'm creating threads to seek advice or searching for information on how to save it (or if it's even worth saving), then I have good reason to believe that it's probably for the best to end it.

I've struggled with this recently too. Had something that's 'good enough' but for months I wanted more. I struggled with letting go of a 'good woman,' but if I've learned anything here it's that if you can find one "unicorn" you can find another.

Unless you're ready to settle down NOW and start a family NOW, and you have accomplished everything you want on your own so you can live that life without regrets, there's no reason to stay in a relationship if you still have the itch to find out what else is out there.

Your woman cooks, cleans, and polishes your nob whenever you ask? She doesn't cause drama or show any signs she is actively seeking out other cock? Cool, that's great, but that doesn't make her unique. We think it does because our BP lifestyles didn't expose us to many women like that so when we find one we are afraid to let it go.

The awesome thing about RP though, is once you 'crack the code' so to speak, once you have improved your SMV to a certain level, you will find that these kinds of girls come along more and more often. If you lose one, there are countless more out there who are waiting for a man like you to save her from the basic bros she's exposed to every day on Tinder and at the bars.

As long as you stick to the core tenets here, you will ALWAYS have a chance to find another decent woman when you're truly ready to settle down. If you do it before you're ready, you will have to live with that regret and unscratched itch for the rest of your life.

If you post this type of question on a forum ... its probably time.

I heard a comic yesterday say it took him 5 years to end a 7 year relationship, and related it to Shawshank Redemption scene where dude had to crawl through the sewer pipe just to get out of the prison.

I think what keeps dudes in such relationships is simply fear .... fear of what could be... its usually always better than a shit relationship but they have become so Beta they just can not see it.

When she isn't contributing to your happiness anymore.

[–]dontbedenied0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When you're better off out of the relationship than you are in the relationship.

[–]Docbear640 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When it feels like a weight on your shoulders , not just " things are a bit tense / rough right now" but genuinely when you can point to the relationship or feelings you have about it as elements that make your day or days feel worse.

"Hmm. Should I end this relationship?"

This.

[–]quicklogaccount0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Let's not talk in time, but in "events" and "mindsets".

One or two events before the mindset that leads you into asking yourself that question is the right time to end the relationship.

[–]squishles0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Probably closely coincides with when you start asking that question.

[–]furia80 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Respect, when individual stops respecting you that person can do anything to you and not feel anything stay with you as long as you are beneficial to them

Earlier than later.

The saying "you get what you settle for" eventually becomes extremely apparent in your life the longer you get a chance to look back on your past from your present conditions.

It's always time to end a relationship. Why put off tomorrow, what's better done today. Plenty of puss in the sea

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Is that why it smells like that?

[–]aurelius_shrugs 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Week old fish? You bet bud.

6 months before the bitch grinds you to dust. AWALT.
