Visiting my gfs family for thanksgiving (four more days here can’t leave and go home) last night when I came up by her she quickly closed out her phone and hid it.

Know calling that out would never work, but I wasn’t mad at the fact she was texting someone (if she’s going to cheat she’s going to cheat), more that she blatantly closed out her phone. Asked her what that was about and she opened up her phone and clicked on the message below (to her mom).

Called that out composed, and said you obviously just clicked on the one beneath it. She got super defensive (saw that coming) and said it was just a guy from her high school soccer team, was a geeky nerd, and I had nothing to worry about. Told her, I’m not some dude is blowing you up, but being sneaky isn’t going to fly (also, not sure how much I believe her - guy responded to her message wirh “making my dreams come true, a reply from _____”)

Didn’t want to get into a petty argument that there was no winning and basically called it a night — we were a bit drunk and she was starting to go down the “insecure rabbit hole”... just not sure how to go forward.

Do I brush it off like it was nothing till this trip ends then cut it lose? We have an hour car ride today I’m sure she’ll want to talk, just not sure what frame to have or get back here.
