It is normal to feel some sort of attachment and compassion for a plate. If you are going overboard then it is because you don't value yourself enough. Focus more on your mission.

Just ask yourself, what benefit do they provide besides sex? If it's nothing, then ignore the feelings. If they start to provide significant value, it's not horrible to lean in to it and upgrade her to the LTR.

Feelings are normal and natural, you cannot stop them as the lack of them is unhealthy.

That said, you should keep yourself aware of them and hold your standards and expectations. When your feelings start changing your behavior, excusing her behavior, or otherwise affect your life in a way you're not comfortable with then you should probably drop her.

I have an iron rule that no amount of feelings will lower my quality of life (cost my job, friendships, or etc) or interfere in my goals. A woman should compliment your life and never be the focus.

The key isn’t to not have emotions it’s to manage them.

Women don’t want a man that is more emotionally invested than they are.

Make sure she is more emotionally invested than you. Create attraction then create space. By focusing on yourself during the space you’ll reduce your emotional connection, while increasing hers(assuming she is thinking about you during that space)
