I don't have much wisdom but think of it in future cost-benefit terms. You stay in the LTR with your "sort of okay" job, and run the risk of her not valuing you as much, because you've proven that she's more important than your own interests. Assuming you get through this, you're probably gonna get married. Well half of all marriages fail and 72% of those divorces are initiated by the woman. So chances are, it won't end well.

Then there's the job. Better connections, better money. Those connections give you a leg up on anyone else in your field, more money means more independence, also this is your fucking dream mate. I don't even know why you're conflicted. If you need companionship, remember that this new job and all its benefits put you higher in the SMV and give you a better shot at getting a better LTR

If the LTR is the only thing holding you back, I'd go with the job. In a few months you're going to wonder why you even considered choosing the LTR over the job.

Also consider this, in a few months, will you regret not taking this opportunity because you didn't want to lose your LTR? Who's probably dumped you or you've dumped her?

50 miles isn't that far. If you live together can't you just move half way and commute? If you don't live with her then 50 miles is close enough for day trips.

Leaving to pursuit your opportunity worse case scenario: you hating the new city after a few months, leaving the town with slightly more money and experience. Get back home to work again, fresh new prospects (maybe your LTR still wanting you back).

Staying for your LTR worst case scenario: marrying, your girl starting to resent you, baby, divorce-rape in a couple of years and the eternal regret of not pursuing your dream.

Both. I'm in the same boat as you and will travel to GF during the weekend and she will travel some weekends to me. We plan on taking Friday off some weeks to spend more days together.
