255 -> 210 in 60 days. That's 45 pounds

I ate 1200 calories per day, 120g protein. Did a short course triathlon every day (biked to work and back, ran at lunch, swam after work), plus lots of walking, and did boxing 1-2 times per week

GIrls check me out more often. Made out w a girl at a club, which I haven't done in years

You need to be in a good mental place for this to work. Remove stress from your life. Take up stoicism and meditation. Take Omega-3 and Vitamin D

240 lbs to 180 so far, at 6 ft. Since last August with a few maintenance breaks. 1000 calories a day - don't really care what those calories are except for getting enough protein and making sure blood panels check out.

The only advice you need is to stop seeking external motivation. Your motivation is already there - it sucks to be fat and you don't want to suck. You don't lose weight to get your cherry popped, you pussy. You lose weight because you want to be a man rather than a sack of lard.

Thus far though about 20 lbs in soon to be 11 weeks. Just been eating 2000-2100 a day. 6’ 210 to 195. Shooting to be around 185 at 8% body fat

Low calorie nutrient dense food are your friends. Cardio is your friend. Water is your friend. Simplify your diet as that's half the battle, then hit that gym! Get a workout friend you can motivate each other to at least show up.

I have a degree in nutrition. You have to understand that in terms of weight loss and duration of the initial loss every individual reacts different. As for Motivation: Fitness, Health and becoming the best version of yourself.

i was 250 im now 230 i need to reach 180. I am getting more confident everyday and can notice chicks checking me out here and there. Just eat 1500-2000 cals a day and lift.

August 2017 I was 195 lbs at 6'0, I weighed myself this morning and I'm 168 lbs. I basically just ate less food and exercised more, no special diet or anything. I started drinking protein shakes like a week ago as well so hopefully, I start to bulk up more.

If you have never been "skinny" or "not fat" before, you definitely need to start right now. THE amount of attention you get is night and day. You get treated better in all situations in life. People will compliment you. Men and especially females will look and smile at you. Your confidence will rise to unknown highs. The difference how you get treated is impossible to describe in words.

When I was around the age of 15-16 I weighed 174lbs. I was really small and looked like a ball from the side.

I decided to lose weight at the age of 17 and lost 45lbs in less than 3 months. I know I went into the other extreme, but being skinny was good enough for me at that point. My weight stabilized afterwards and so will yours, don't worry.

I basically ate less of everything. The biggest change was drinking 90% water instead of coca cola each day. Basically avoid things that have huge amount of calories.

No calories counting, no exercising, nothing. Weight loss is actually WAY more simpler than people think it is.

The main problem most people have is consistency and patience.

I used to be so insanely fat that my skin started to crack. When I lost weight I couldn't believe I used to play life on hardmode all the time.

It took me years but I can now maintain current physique with relative ease. At my heaviest I was 250lbs and probably >30% BMI @ 5’11. I’m now 180lbs and 14% without much effort. Total lifestyle change.

It takes time to do it right but once you start making progress it gets easier.

Not me but a girl I helped train to get in shape:

She was 165 pounds, 5'9" starting college. September 2016. Started working out a lot, didn't change diet much, I met her in February 2017 and she was 155 pounds. Convinced she "couldn't" lose weight.

I showed her the ropes. Helped teach her how the mechanics of the body work basically. She cut calories to 1200 per day eating mostly things like chicken, fruits, and vegetables. Stopped drinking, which is a lowkey huge source of calories for a lot of people. She kept working out a lot, at least 3 days per week but usually 4 or 5.

Within a month she dropped from 155 to maybe 140. Another month later she went from 140 to 130. Since then she's fluctuated between 125 and 135, always in shape though. Today she has ab lines and a solid ass that's improving by the day. Started as a fat girl with no tits and no ass and today looks not quite like a fitness chick but not far off either. You can do that too, if you are disciplined and dedicated.

And no, I neither date nor orbit her. She was a plate, became an LTR, and is more of a FWB today. But she progressed from HB4 or 5 to HB7 or 8 over a span of a couple years. So, you can too. Just be disciplined.

okay i thought i did a great job but reading the comments... welll

i went from 88kg to 75kg that's 29 lbs (13kg) on the course of 5 months. The process was very slow because I was on and off keto the entire time. When I'm on though, I'd eat 1500 kcal a day (500kcal deficit) and worked out thrice a week (but didn't make any gains).

I'm also 5'7", and now 175 pounds, down from 215. Still have more to go, but I've made good progress. After thanksgiving, I started trying to lose weight. I didn't change a single thing about my life, aside from not eating dinner and going to bed earlier. I think it falls under the moniker "intermittent fasting." I have bad eating habits still, and I drink a fair bit as well.

Cutting out a meal in my day has worked really well for me, because I didn't increase the size of the other meals. My lunches are normally 1000-1200 calories, and keep me going until I wake up the next morning.

It felt a little weird at first, but I adjusted to it within a week or so. After the next 20 pounds lost, or when I hit a plateau, I'll make a new plan, but until then, I don't see any reason to change what is currently working towards my goal

I lost 10kg in 3 weeks last year. But I gained them back on 3 months after. Diet: cut all my meal portions in 2. Exercise: train 6 days a week, run once or twice a week 7k.

Im 5'10. I went from 190 to 145 in a few months without Cardio. Then bulked back up to 200, now I'm leaner at 185. it's not that hard mate. Practice discipline and you'll get what you want.

Yeah I wouldn't suicide cut like that other guy suggests. It's not healthy and on top of shitty workouts in the gym and ruining your newbie gains you will get loose skin if you lose weight too fast.

I honestly hate this reddit for and gym advice, you're better asking elsewhere.

Most advice here generally falls on restriction (calories) or appetite suppression (keto) or talking up nonsensical protein intake levels.

Massive calorie or carb restriction will generally lead to a massive yoyo sometime down the road gaining more weight than has been lost. This has been studied. It works but for a few people.

Many of these strategies also teaches you how not to eat, rather than how to eat. It makes little sense to eat the same exact food you've been eating that kept you fat, but only 1,000 calories of it.

What works in general is decreasing your calorie density of your food intake.

Greens/Veggies (100 cal/lb) < Fruit (300) < Starches (500) < Meat (1000) < Nuts/Seeds (2800) < Oil (4000)

These are averages for the group and "as grown". For example, grapes are 62 calories per cup, but raisins are nearly 500. Potatoes, as a starch, are only 360 calories per lb, but as potato chips will skyrocket to over 2,000 because of the water driven out and oil added.

Anything that removes water, strips fiber, or adds oil drives up calorie density.

Another important factor is milling (grinding down to flour). While the calories can remain the same, milling will give you a bigger spike in blood sugar and then crash, prompting you to eat again. In this case, the one on the left is best and tortilla chips the worst choice.

Corn on the cob < polenta < corn tortilla < tortilla chips

The corn on the cob will fill you more easily for the same calories than polenta or corn tortillas. Chips have added oil.

Cut out processed factory food. Learn to make 5-6 meals of actual food.
