TRPs stance on marriage is a very clear DON'T. You are confused because you think marriage is a prerequisite for having kids or a lasting relationsship. What you need to realise is that you can have all that (and whatever else you want for that matter) without signing a marriage contract. If lasting monogamy with kids is what you want, make sure to properly explain your SO that you are committed to the relationship but have very good reasons to refrain from signing the contract. If those very good reasons are yet unclear to you or you have trouble paraphrasing them, I refer you to the sidebar. The misandry bubble in particular. If you explain it right and she's a reasonable person, she will understand.

Having children and a fullfiling relationship with a woman is a natural urge and one I believe most men, including myself, will eventually pursue.

However, there is no reason whatsoever to get married in order to achieve this. Getting married places a manacle around your balls with the chain attached to her wedding ring. It has ZERO benefits.

Find a TRP minded young woman, start a family and life happily ever after (or at least that's the goal).

P.S. do avoid retard common law states/country's.

The vast majority say that marriage is a really bad idea, and for very good reason. At least half of marriages end in divorce, and usually the male gets screwed during that. It's like gambling on a 51% chance of losing it all. It's a really bad idea. Hell, I'm married and in hindsight I think it was a bad idea.

There is a subreddit, /r/marriedredpill that could probably field any thoughts on the matter better than I could.

TRP is against marriage for 2 reasons:

1) Lifetime alimony even if divorce is due to her cheating on you. Most states have no-fault clause in their divorce laws.

2) You lose half of everything you earned throughout the marriage. If she was a SAHM, you lose half of the shit you worked hard to earn.

Most of TRP comes from a mindset that the man brings in more money to the marriage and will earn more throughout the marriage. In that case, getting married is a risk because in case of a divorce, half of the shit you have you lose. You bought a house before marriage and it increases in value from 150K to 300K during the marriage, she gets 75K of the 150K increase in value. In other words you have to sell the house and give her 75K of her share. A really bad deal if you ask me.

Now how do you protect yourself from shit like that? How do you protect yourself if she has kids and decides to become a stay at home mom? If you're married you are shit out of luck. If you're not married you kick her ass to the curb and all you worry about is child support.

So basically a marriage is fine if the woman earns and brings in as much or more equity into the marriage than you do, and a really bad one if she earns less and brings in less.

Now marriage is TRP on hard mode. You can't let her become a SAHM or you are fucked over in a divorce. After all, in view of the court she put her career on hold to have YOUR children so you OWE her.

Your SMV also is lowered because now you're in a marriage so you're locked down and off the market. Men fall into the trap of that mindset way too easily. It's fairly easy to fix that though and married red pill subreddit exists just for that purpose.

So IMO, if you bring in as much equity and earning potential as your fiancee, than there is no downside to getting married. You get her to share your name, automatically are placed on your kids' birth certificates and have parental rights to them, get to make medical etc decisions in case of emergency and protect your assets from extended family members in case one of you dies sans will. There is no downside such as alimony and child support would be called for no matter if you were married or not.

TRP's mentality is do not get married, period.

That being said, there is / r /marriedredpill, which is for guys in very serious live-in LTRs and marriages. Not a single one of them I've seen are people who got married after taking the pill - just guys unplugging a few years in when they realized they'd been duped into a life they didn't want.

Some guys can make it work once they've hit that point, other times the pill literally destroys their marriage. Redpill blew up my LTR, but to be honest - I couldn't be happier. I was essentially married, not getting laid, and generally miserable with my harpy of a common-law wife.

Marriage is not essential for any reason in this day and age. Why open yourself up to the government raping you for all you're worth at the behest of your former special-snowflake, just because you broke up? The stats out there clearly illustrate it's just not worth it anymore, despite how much we all at one time in our lives believed marriage was one of the ultimate goals in life. It sucks sometimes man, but you gotta remember - the red pill doesn't make life more beautiful, it just allows you to play by the rules of reality, because you see it for what it really is.

r/marriedredpill is a sub that addresses applied TRP to marriage. Even that sub's approach to marriage is "if you're married, we can help you stay married, or end the marriage if it no longer works for you. If you're not married, don't get married."

Co-habitate. Be sure to do it in a state that doesn't recognize common law marriages, mine doesn't.

The "big" moment for you is when you decide to move in with a woman. Right when you move in and start integrating assets and wealth is where the trouble begins. Co-habitate with an agreement which clearly states that your relationship is not a marriage and should not be recognized as one and then outline what is yours and what is hers and make sure you can amend the contract as you go. Get her to get a separate attorney so that the contract wont get thrown out. Don't let her take your last name.

In my state a co-habitation agreement is valid in court to determine the separation of assets. By not getting married you can avoid Family court which will keep your 5th and 6th amendment rights intact. Though if you have children, it will be a different story but at least you don't have to worry about a judge telling you to pay alimony and leave your home but still continue to pay the mortgage while your ex guzzles down some new cock.

You will hear a lot of guys huff and puff about not getting married, which they're right. But most of those guys end up throwing the baby out with the bath water by claiming that they will never have a family or children because of the femnazi, blah blah, blah. One day you will want to have children, as you may already realize just by virtue of this post. Although ALWALT, you have to bite the bullet somehow and from my research co-habitation with an agreement in a state that doesn't recognize it is the best route.

There is nothing wrong with marriage, but look at it this way: if you wouldn't go in to business with your partner, you shouldn't marry them.

Where most people fall short in this is the need to "be with the one you love". If that's all you want, don't get married.

If, however, you find yourself wanting kids and a family, look towards women who understand a hard day's work, understand the full impact of getting involved in something like this, and share similar values with yourself.

As well, look at how they occupy their free time. If they choose Facebook over spending 5 minutes to load up the dishwasher, chances are it will only get much worse if they end up as a stay at home parent.

Basically, its at this point where " looks" and "SMV" should not enter the picture. If you luck out with a hotty, great. But an HB 9 quickly becomes a pain in the ass when you find yourself doing their share of the work on top of your own.

It's about wants and needs. If a woman only "wants" you, you can plan on the divorce. If she "needs" you, you have less risk for divorce. You might make it until the death-do-us-part mark, but don't hold your breath.

In an egalitarian society with "strong & independent" women, women are detached from the concept that they need a man. Most women have been reduced to only "wanting" a man, which is money in the bank if you're a divorce attorney.

If she doesn't feel that she needs you, she won't respect you. Say hello to widespread misandry and cuntiness. Makes women more skittish too I'm guessing, basing that on college campus interaction.

The TRP perspective is marriage is insane.
