I've been accused of not providing enough 'emotional support'. This comes after me ignoring her for 2 days because she tried to pull the silent treatment on me, so it could just be she's unhappy that I didn't take the bait and reward her bad behavior. It could also be her feels about our changing dynamics as I refuse to get into arguments with her about anything and I stand up for myself better now.

This got me wondering though, what does a woman mean when she talks about 'emotional support'. My wife claims it's physical affection, asking about her day and what she's doing, cheering her on and giving her positive vibes. I actually do all of that stuff so I wonder if there's some covert thing going on I don't understand.

Maybe they're looking for more beta/comfort? Maybe they're looking for validation? Maybe it's just a vague personal attack to attempt to manipulate male behavior? Any thoughts about this would be very appreciated.
