Hi, if you’re reading this, I’ve decided to replace/delete every post and comment that I’ve made on Reddit for the past 12 years.

No, I won’t be restoring the posts, nor commenting anymore on reddit with my thoughts, knowledge, and expertise.

It’s time to put my foot down. I’ll never give Reddit my free time again unless this CEO is removed and the API access be available for free. I also think this is a stark reminder that if you are posting content on this platform for free, you’re the product.

To hell with this CEO and reddit’s business decisions regarding the API to independent developers. This platform will die with a million cuts.

It's weird, I'll go up to any girl in a bar/club, no problem whatsoever. 5 f-closes in 3.5 months, which isn't legendary or anything but not bad. But at work, you'd think I was the biggest AFC ever. It's just an entirely different world for someone like me who sarges at bars/clubs basically exclusively. I agree with Theillbehaviored's comment below.

Yesterday this hot girl I don't know said hi with a smile as I walked in in the morning, and I was like "Duhh, huh?" Just such a contrast from what I'm used to. I think I managed some little peep of "hi." I felt like how I felt around all girls a few years ago.

All the shit I do at bars/clubs is totally inapplicable. Going up to lots of girls, quickly escalating physically, etc. You'd get fired in 2 seconds for doing that. Plus you'd get no work done. And there are very few decent looking girls anyway.

What I came up with was that it doesn't matter. If you're sarging enough in your regular life, why do you need to be doing it at work too? A person needs a break anyway, at least I do. And it could blow up in your face massively, whether you get a girl or not. Sexual harrassment allegations, who the hell knows?

It seems like bars/clubs heavily favor people who are good at pickup, and work heavily favors AFC's (or, at least, puts them on much evener ground). So, all guys can draw lessons from that.

I advise against doing it if at all possible. If and probably when shit goes sour, it's going to make the workplace awkward. It could also lead to other problems with your job in regard to the management.

We like to say "Don't shit where you eat" when the work question comes up, but I'd like to add something to that. Don't try to f-close your coworkers - befriend them in an alpha, but unavailable way. Go out with them in your group and make them into your entourage. Let them be your social proof everywhere you go and never let them climb out of the friendzone. They will adore you for this and set you up with their hot friends.

Dude, don't do it!!! I didn't even try to date a girl I work with, I tried dating one that simply works in the building. We go out, have a good time, she's kind of a bitch so I move on, next thing I know she comes into MY FUCKING COMPANY OFFICE and starts yelling at me for being a sleaze bag.

It doesn't matter how wrong she was, by default, when humans see a female yelling at a male, they all assume he's an asshole. Make friends, and maybe they'll have cute friends.

Not only is it not a good idea to do this at work, the dynamics of 'game' are vastly different. I noticed in my work place complete AFCs are on the same level of game as me because it is socially appropriate in that environment to jump straight into comfort building stage (like most AFCs typically do). Where as going up to someone and start asking chump questions about their life would be needy and wierd on the street, doing this in a working environment seems more acceptable. If you try to build attraction at work, it can work, but due to the metaframe (work environment) it may be kind of weird.

Going from being successful in day game to trying this shit at work has been really frustrating, it just doesn't work.

Depends on your company, really.

If it's a small company, stay the fuck away from all the girls.

If you work for some huge 1,000++ person firm and there are dozens of women walking around, it's probably okay so long as you find someone who is faaaar removed from your own department/group.

In the latter case, play it fucking cool. No aggro-rape caveman game, no escalation until you're 200% sure, etc. Basically none of the stuff anyone on here usually advocates, play it like your mommy told you to, be a gentleman, etc.

There's definitely a handicap when operating at work like that, which is why I abstain.
