Before I get a girl's number, I straight up ask them when they are free. They'll tell me what their days are like, contact them later, and go from there.

Lol it doesn't boil down to 'whether or not you have things going on in life' at all. Someones bias is showing. I've done both probably as much as anyone on this sub; having number closed 6-700 girls. I'm not bias; I actually have done both A LOT. The send my availability I've done ~40+20 times probably (one three month period I only did it, one period late last year where I alternated the two and a few scattered probably) and the other I've done ~100 times. I've also tried "just logistics" and calling*. These are the reasons I ONLY ask their availability now:

1) It's far easier to calibrate from

2) It let's you set up more dates this way

3) You find out if the girl is genuinely uninterested or just busy; saving your time. IE a girl may say "I can't either of those times!" because she can't either of those times or because she doesn't like you. The trope "she will make a suggestion for a time if she's interested!" is fucking retarded. Anyone who has ever laid a girl who is hot and shy knows this is fucking bullshit. I've had massive hotties (like 300kg hotties lol) in my bed say "I didn't want to ask you to hang out because I didn't know if you liked me."

4) Any benefit you get from "seeming high value" when you send a text saying the time and date you can hang out is trumped by the "seeming high value" when you say you can't do any of those times or dates she suggests. Adding "any other times" at the end of that message will actually make her chase 9/10 times, vs the 1/lots it worked for me with this other style. Not that it matters anyway.

5) Finally: It just works better. I've never met a player in real life who messages the time they're free. Girls are wired not to chase and only will if they think you're WAY out of their league. Unless you're a celebrity or fucking girls way less hot than you... There are a whole heap of other reasons it isn't the best thing to do but really it all boils down to IT PROBABLY WON'T WORK AS OFTEN. Again 6-700 number closes to base this off, I've tried literally everything text related and this worked for me two times that I can remember with girls 2 full points below me (6-7s). It didn't ever work even one time with a hot girl, I'd remember that. The other method of soft closing has worked three times this year. I'm not a number guy, I usually go for the SNL, but if I have to chase up over the phone you can bet I'm going to go for the higher odds with the hotter girls over the easier option with the less hot girls. I'm pretty all or nothing in this.

In short, I have a blown out of proportion number close ratio due to being good looking. This inflates my number closes with flakes who I don't actually hook with game but will give me their number because I'm hot. Your ratios will be lower if you're not as good looking because the girls will actually genuinely like you most the time when they give the number. My ratios are approx. 1/30 with the send my availability and 1/8 with the soft close to time and date. Judging from what Krauser says my number close ratio is about 3x as efficient (but way less effective lol) than average Joe so divide those by three to find true normal values.

*This is the best one. Girls who were going to fuck you around with text won't answer your calls. Sorting out a date with the girls who do is 9x easier. It is implicitly high value. The only issue is a decent percentage of girls who would fuck you won't answer the call, probably 10-20%, but it makes it harder to chase up because you just called them. Chris on GLL says if they don't send a message saying why they missed the call they're not interested, probably true but haven't done this enough to comment. This by far has the best effort to close ratio of all the methods though.

AVOID MAKING PLANS ON WEEKENDS (UNLESS DURING DAY)

it implies you dont have anything to do on the weekend, and you should be out meeting new girls on the weekend anyway. Plus girls have endless betas msging them asking what they are doing this weekend.

Never set an exact time/activity/location all at once if shes busy your done.

I've just had a discussion with some guys over this exact subject, check my post history. There's a difference of opinion on the matter but it's good discussion, it should give you examples.

It basically boils down to whether or not you have plans/a social life yourself.

I have tons of things going on in my life, whether it's dates I've got planned, friends I've arranged to do things with, concerts, tattoo appointments, some time to do some writing, time to myself, etc.

This weekend for example I'm only free on Saturday after 8pm. So if I meet someone from now till then and I want to set something up, I'll just say exactly that. It shows I've got a life if nothing else!

If you've come across as an attractive high value guy and shown interest, it doesn't matter, if she likes you she'll be there no matter how you ask (if she's free).

Just my thoughts, I'm sure others will disagree.
