Heading to the Netherlands for about 6 days and I've got a ton of leads through dating apps. I could afford a hotel for the days I'm there, some decent ones in the city I will be in are about 100 USD a night, but for some reason I have a real hatred for spending money on hotels.

I always compare it to monthly rent and hate how much the difference is. I'd rather spend it on a hostel, go on a date and hope the girl brings me home to her place.

At the same time I know if I told her I stayed in a hostel it might come off weird. I'm thinking of saying something like "I'm crashing at a friend's place tonight but tomorrow I'm going to a hotel" so at least she thinks there's hope of me getting my own place, and I could if I needed to
