Ok before the whole "nice guy" thing comes up. No, I'm not a "nice guy". I just don't feel like a MAN right now in my life.

I can crack jokes, make friends and be overall a good guy, but most of the time I come of as a super polite and friendly person. Although, there have been nights when I go out, I'm in full state and I'm very aggressive and confident (but it's very rare).

I'm not specifically talking about being friendly ONLY when approaching girls. I recently started a job where I go canvassing and ask people for signatures and donations. I knock on 80 peoples doors a night and the job actually highlighted my situation. The people I work with are awesome, very confident, hilarious and pretty cool people in general. Due to their confidence they receive A LOT of contributions. I haven't received that many and every time I have an interaction with a person at the door I feel like a "chode". I've always been like this and it honestly sucks a lot. I'm the "quiet one" of the group.

Part of me feels like I'm way in my head but it's just so hard to "not be in my head". I'm always seeking reactions from people to boost my emotions and the guys I work with are like the opposite, they're very self amused, smart people.

Any advice on how to deal with this? It will probably be a long term solution but I really could use some insight.
