Hey guys. I’ve been in the game for a while, banged some 70 women, but feel like I’m losing myself in this girl I’m seeing now. She’s one of the coolest girls I’ve met in a while. We’ve been on like 11 dates, fcked a lot, but I can tell she’s emotionally guarded from past relationships. I also feel like I always pedestalize her somehow on the dates, even though I usually balance it out a bit. Our last date we were originally gonna keep it chill and watch a movie, but I ended up taking her to a solid dinner and gave a handwritten note. She loved the note but I think it fell into grand gesture territory paired with dinner, which she’s not a fan of. She’s really confident and hot and I feel like I can’t handle it sometimes. She said “I like you” and when I said the same, she’s like “yeah…it’s pretty obvious you do…”

I realize I’ve forgotten a lot of the core principles of this community in this process. I just think it means I don’t have enough going on that’s fulfilling in my life right now. Even though I have a good job and solid friends. I just feel like I’m on neediness autopilot seeking approval and validation.

I’m neglecting some of my priorities. I know she’d probably keep seeing me if I kept hitting her up, but I think she recognizes that I have some lingering neediness, and I’m wondering if this is even worth keeping around until it “fizzles out,” or if it would be better to just send a respectful text breaking it off.

Thing is, this girl is cool, and I wouldn’t like to shut the door completely for future arrangements, but I feel I’m at a crossroads. I want to be able to figure this out, and it seems like breaking it off will just communicate I’m afraid of my own feelings. But idk.

I’m really worried I’ll never outgrow this. I’m 27.
