Couple days ago I saw my therapist whom I'd been talking to about issues considering approaching and talking to women, among other things.Unsurprinsingly he told me that the reason I feel uncomfortable around women is internal, not external. It's all about how I view myself. Nothing new.

He then went on telling me about how my brain is biased towards certain things, due to negative past experiences (had a lot of those with women, disappointment after disappointment). Now, whenever I feel the need to talk to that cute girl in class or work or whatever, my brain goes: "Hey, it's probably not going to matter if I ask her out, she's gonna say no anyways. There's no use." Boom. That's the root of the problem right there.

At first I didn't really get it, but the more I thought about it and was honest to myself, the more I noticed this thought pattern in my day to day life. I'm giving up before actually trying.

So how can you apply this to your dating life? It's simple. Every time you notice the kind of thoughts like "It's not gonna work" or "She probably doesn't find me attractive anyway" you do just that. You notice it. And then you LAUGH at it. And it's gonna be so liberating.

You're gonna feel unburdened, and that's what makes you attractive.

The past few days have been so profoundly different from what I'm used to, it's hilarious. I'm getting looks from girls left and right and I can talk freely with them about anything. There's no nervousness or feeling of awkwardness anymore.

And finally, I'm happy with who I am. Which is, after all, the most important thing.
