its very very very very very rare a girl would approach a guy in public. So firstly you have my respect. Just be friendly and curious and look approachable... With so many women with permanent RBF a smile goes a long way. Keep the conversation simple, comment on a guys clothing, style, or something you noticed about him or the venu you are both in. If a guy is interested he will try to continue the conversation.. unless he is so socially awkward and starts internally panicking lol.

Men are very unlikely to shoot you down rudely and will likely be sympathetic if you are at all nervous or awkward.

The main thing that will determine if they want to give you their number, drop everything and spend the night with you, accept whatever your proposition is will be if they think you are hot on first sight.

If they do you can stare at the floor and say "I'm so nervous doing this..." and most men will think "oh my god she likes me! This is my lucky night"

You should take some of the flirting advice here though. Way more comfortable for you to stand next to a guy at a bar etc.

I’m a tall white dude who gets a lot of attention at bars. If you approached me and were hideous I would not have the heart to not talk to you.

In the past I was less confident, and moved to a city where I knew no one. That, in my opinion, led me to want to talk to literally anyone. I was even hunting for dudes to become friends with.

I think that most guys are really looking for a connection, and giving them a spark by approaching them could go a long way.

Western culture constantly pushes people to be more and more narcissistic, and it’s a breath of fresh air when someone isn’t self absorbed. So go for it, it makes you more attractive to most men.

I would stress do not be drunk when you approach a guy.

I have had many women approach me when they are drunk and I almost completely ignore them because if she does anything she regrets then that will just make that whole interaction become a nightmare once she sobers up and realizes any of the impaired judgements she made under the influence.
