This post had to be taken down because it appears to be focused on a specific situation or person. While Field Reports deal with specific situations and people, remember that the focus is different:
No worries though! Though the thread has been taken down, any conversations you have started here can still continue, and if you want to PM a mod to get their opinion on this thread, feel free to do so and they will still be able to weigh in.
For next time, remember that posts about a specific situational advice with a specific person are fine as field should be directed to Ask Seddit (/r/askseddit), not to be confused with Ask Reddit.

I disagree with all the comments suggesting some sort of mind game and waiting. I think that is childish and insecure. Who cares why she's been MIA for a month. You barely knew her anyway, she doesn't owe you anything.
If you fancy her then answer her and schedule something.

There's no downside to trying to engage.
What you want to do is have a strong frame but playful, "A late fee of $100 was assessed, but a one time courtesy credit can be applied if drinks are on you."
Or, "Yes, but the penalty for being late is a 5 stroke spanking with probation in lieu of jail"
The above makes you seem not butthurt, but also implies that you expect it to not happen again.

I agree about playing it off but the examples you used are creepy af
[–]Nullroute127 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Nothing creepy about it if done in the right context/with the right person.
Creepy to a stranger; a girl that has interest in you will find it flirty.

I’m out this sub. Exactly what I expected 🤣

Yes. Maybe a personal issue came up, or something with her family.
Or, she smashed whoever she was talking to before you and it was lame.
Or, she got an exotic pet and has been dealing with the ins and outs of proper maintenance with regard to it.
Personally, I think she got a new exotic pet. But I'm a tragic optimist and admit that I see things different sometimes.

This is the comment I was looking for. Like sheesh. Maybe just ask her even! I really didn't think it was this deep. I'm team exotic pet. I think its a Komodo Dragon

She had another dude until now. It's up to you, i'd try and talk and schedule a date, but at any sign of her not being serious i'd drop her. One time you understand, 2nd time shows a pattern.

Idk I’ve been talking with other people as well
[–]xxchhfdd35325 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Smash and bail she ain’t worth much more
[–]thegamermasquerader 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Why are you assuming she had another dude. Y'all act like humans can't be happy while alone. Some people just don't want to be bothered. She might have just gotten the urge to go on a date

Most people want to find someone. Most girls have a lot of options, fwb, orbiters. The fact that she replied but didn't say " hey, i need some me time right now" and just ghosted kinda says she had someone but didn't want to burn this bridge. I could be projecting but having been in the dating world for some time, even though what you say might be true, i think it's the exception, as in the 1%. How many girls do you know irl that have options and don't use them? i don't know one
[–]thegamermasquerader 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is the exact mindset that leads men to mass approaching and simping, which perpetuates the cycle of shitty modern dating. Plenty of girls have options and don't use them. Plenty of guys have options and don't use them. Plenty of people just aren't desperate for somebody. People date and fuck who they like. Some are picky and some are desperate. Most people have a large, abundant life outside of being with somebody and let it happen naturally. Other people live to be with somebody and try to force everything.
Most girls I know are picky as FUCK and don't have nearly the sex drive that men do. What does more options mean when they are not willing to use them?
Men have the dating game completely fucked up, and it's the exact reason women are making $500,000 on onlyfans per week now. It's all a damn illusion . Men are not doing better than women, and vice versa. Men and women are equally fed up with the other gender... the divorce rates, the cat-calling, the lying, the simping, cheating.
For every guy that gets cheated on, there's a girl getting cheated on. For every man getting married, there's a woman getting married. The difference is that men put women on such a fucking pedestal. How do women run the game if we are the ones initiating it 99% of the time?

Woman being serious? 😆
[–]creativedave73 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This has happened to me a couple of times, but years, not months. I see it as a "What if?" situation. She ghosted me for some reason and now she wants to go out. In my cases, we went out, it was meh, so now I know what would have happened if we went out.
[–]thestanimal86 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Brush it off. People get busy and her replying a month later means she's been thinking about you - even if there was someone else (which is none of your business).
I'd wait 2 days and provide a yes or no option. "I'm gonna check out this local band if you're looking for something fun to do." It doesn't matter if she likes the band, type of music or venue, she either wants to go out and have a good time or she doesn't.
If she says yes; cool, let's meet up for drinks 2 hours before doors. If no, toodaloo.
Yes. It really is that simple

Answer her a month later too.
Recipe for FAILURE
[–]ProfessionalPie8852 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Wait exactly 2 months and then just say: nahh you're good
[–]zapadz 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Friendzone her to expand your social circle and have preselection
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
"Keep dreaming"
Wait at least half a month before answering
I had a half ass dude when I found a real man.
[–]Distinct_Face_5796 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I had a girl respond to my email after ten years! What the heck! Lol.

Go right ahead, but avoid commitment with her. She's too immature to deserve that
[–]dobbs1997 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
what do YOU wanna do? Everyone on here’s gonna have different answers based off of their perspectives and experiences so…if you think she’s attractive, msg back, don’t even chit chat just go STRAIGHT to setting up a date.
[–]Maxigan0420 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
just answer her, if she texted you out of nowhere after a month she definetely is interested. show some interest back without childish games
[–]BlvckSkin 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The real question is, does seem worthy of your engagement?
