East Asians are said to be notoriosuly racist.
But idk maybe the only racist here is me, reproducing stereotypes about east Asian ppl?

One thing I realised about Chinese girls is that they do not like beards/facial hair
[–]chief_yETI 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is a very sensitive topic that has a lot of potential to go really off the charts and veer into a lot heated discussions and misinterpreted statements.
But all I will say is that there is a LOT of racism against brown skin tones in East Asia especially. Celebrities can usually get by easily, as with literally everywhere in the world, but celebrities are the exception and not the norm.
Do with that information what you will.

Having grown up in the southern US (aka Red States), I’m accustomed to racism of both the closeted and open varieties. As a white person, everyone feels they can speak freely around me.
In my entire life I’d never seen the outright racism that many East Asians exhibit toward South Asians until I started dating within the Asian community. It’s most pronounced amongst Chinese and Vietnamese women, and least pronounced within the Philippine community. You’ve got your work cut out for you regardless.
The previous comments about facial hair are correct. Do yourself a favor and keep clean shaven.
Also, if you could learn Spanish and take on an Iberian surname, you’ll have a better chance of success. Only partially joking.

As another brown guy I just don't get the fascination with East Asian women. Vast majority of them are racists, materialistic, shallow, vapid. And above all they are social climbers. That's why you see so many of them date white men. I'd put East Asian women in the lowest tier based on my experience.

Lived in East Asia for a few years and can agree. I'd say in particular Chinese, Japanese and Koreans are the worst towards brown people. But Southeast Asian women can be a good choice if you are into their physical type, since they have a lot more positive feelings towards Indians.

Trying to get an East Asian woman interested in you is quite similar to trying to get a British woman interested in you, they're quite standoffish and not known for being flirtatious.
You have to charm them with your wit and persistence. Usually most East Asian girls will say no if you ask them out without getting to know them first. This is because in East Asian cultures, people who are overeager to take someone out without getting to know them are often seen as swindlers and scam artists who are out for something.
Hence, it is to your advantage to understand their culture and learn their language and be able to at least know common terms in their language before trying to date them. It also helps if you have East Asian male friends and they can introduce you to other women or at least vouch for you.
Hookup culture does not exist in East Asian cultures because the latter only tends to exist in the sex industries (eg, karaoke bars, hostess bars etc). You have to be the utmost gentleman at all times in the initial wooing process, not push nor rush her for a hug or a kiss even after a month or so, so if you come off like a playboy or fckboy, most likely they will not be interested.

Let me consult Pew Research's scientific poll of women's opinions on you by race
[–]MA_CA_NV_CA 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I don’t think it’s your race at all. Have seen men of all races do just fine. My experience when approaching them is they often lack social skills, get spooked / freeze during cold approach. The key is to stay calm through the initial awkwardness, have good fundamentals, continue to speak to them and sometimes the awkwardness will melt away within 15 seconds and she will start to open up and engage more. If you’re not at least getting positive responses and pleasant polite conversation 60-80% of the time you’re probably doing something wrong in your approach.

I've had some experience breaking through misconceptions and stereotypes of multiple races and I attribute that entirely to my attitude and approach. I ask them for help quite often to see how open they are to speaking with me. It generally starts with please excuse me, "I know this is out of the blue but I wonder if you wouldn't mind helping me" then I'll ask if they're from around the area or even just familiar with it. By this point it's 50/50 if they exit the conversation (potentially by not being able to speak the language or pretending not to). If not they could still be incredibly polite.
Then I dive into "it's on my bucket list to experience the best of as many cultures as I can and the eastern world alone has a TON! Do you mind if I ask what part of the eastern culture you're from so I don't sound any more ignorant than I already do lol?" Then I ask about where to get the best food first. If I feel like I'm running out of time I'll say I have tons more questions for you but I Don't want to take up any more of your time. What's your name? Thank you so much for your help. Please, take my number (have a business card) and I hope you send me a text. I won't bug you but I'd love to treat you to a meal or drink.
If they say no or never contact you then try again.

This guy has tons of content from gaming in japan. I find it’s worked here in California as well. This is an article on opening. My experience is I get good positive feedback and interactions about 70-80% of the time I open and I consider myself a beginner and not very good at game. I know your style is pretty standard for London game and works well for lots of guys there. I wouldn’t use it personally because it’s a ton of explanation of the context of conversation and you come across as low value and ignorant. In your own words you’re telling her you’re ignorant of cultures and asking for help. She wants to date a high value man. And you immediately put in her mind that you won’t be able to relate to her or understand her culture. She doesn’t want to take the time to explain thousands of years of history to a stranger. Also you’re asking her for help right off the bat rather than offering her something of value. Sorry dude I know I come across as harsh. Just my 2 cents. I think it’s awesome that you’re approaching and having great experiences and I’m no expert or amazing at game myself.
I also find that in terms of physical placement, London style goes for the hands-up hard stop. I don’t do this because it is asking for a commitment of time right off the bat and lots of girls will just walk right by you. The Asians especially spook easily and are especially prone to avoiding the hard stop. Instead I actually walk with the girl while opening her and if I’ve hooked her she’ll slow down and stop and talk to me.
I also rarely bring up race that early in the conversation. I let it come up later organically. Sometimes it never comes up. Instead I ask where she was raised. I find a lot of Asian Americans are wary of men who fetishize them and first and foremost consider themselves American and want to be viewed as American.

Yours is probably much more likely to work to be their man right off. Btw I'm American and DEFINITELY ignorant not of history, or any concept of their culture but of the details of their best foods, music and typical dating practices. I try to create a chance at getting to know them and open the door for them to get to know me and see if I'm different from what they've been told/taught specifically about American black men in my case.
I'd rather change minds and gain friends and I was told east Asians are huge on politeness and trying to help their fellow man. Doing good for others being something they actively seek chances to do. Since I'm genuinely curious as to where I, as a foodie can experience Food Wars levels of good food, then I only fail when they don't bother with me at all.

I am not into small tits and flat asses, so I just ignore asian girls.
[–]NinetailsDestruction 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Dude chill with the shallow and rude comments, that’s not the case for all of them and also to say it like that feels a little harsh
[–]Hermit41 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Do you have facial hair?
[–]NinetailsDestruction 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Best not to chase after them because you may find yourself dealing with rude people. I think you shouldn’t look for one type of women because you are being extremely superficial and to say you think they are “beautiful” is a bit cringe because you don’t know if they are good people or not, just say you have a fetish rather than say something to cover your true intention.
Just leave them alone to be honest since them dismissing you like that is a sign they aren’t comfortable. Not all of them are like that but just be respectful and don’t give predator vibes which is why they run away to be honest

There may be definitely some genetical prejudice here. It's not a bad thing at all, it's just how our nature works, to preserve valuable traits. I guess if you would come closer to their culture, you would receive much bigger rapport.
[–]antonthecad 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why would you try to go for girls that aren't into you. There's very little benefit in trying to overcome a weakness, concentrate on what you are good at and hammer it home.
