This post had to be taken down because it appears to be focused on a specific situation or person. While Field Reports deal with specific situations and people, remember that the focus is different:
No worries though! Though the thread has been taken down, any conversations you have started here can still continue, and if you want to PM a mod to get their opinion on this thread, feel free to do so and they will still be able to weigh in.
For next time, remember that posts about a specific situational advice with a specific person are fine as field should be directed to Ask Seddit (/r/askseddit), not to be confused with Ask Reddit.

Lol. You made it known to her that she wasted your time and then you went back days later and offered to give her another chance? First off, most women will initially flake and they’ll do it for a variety of reasons including being scared. Always wise to give them a another chance. Not wise to lose your cool. It makes you seem inflexible and intolerant. When you see her at the gym just ignore her. You can’t fix this and it’s best to leave her alone.

You were way too harsh. It sucks she cancelled but sometimes things come up unexpectedly. It happens. You acted like you were better than here and like she was a terrible person for cancelling 1 (!!) time. What’s the point if you talking to her again? Just let it go.

Yeah op wanted to act all superior but then came back to his needy nature. Doesn't work well unless you are way above in looks.

She disrespected you and then to make her point more clear, she blocked you.
It’s very obvious that you need to move on and forget about this girl forever.
She isn’t interested in you, no matter what you do.
The game with this girl is over, you have been disqualified.
Lmfao. This is needy as fuck. This only showed her that you lack more options and that you think you deserve that treatment.
You tell yourself you are giving her another chance, which is ridiculous because if anything she is the one giving chances here, as women are the choosers.
The frame here is on her favour, because she didn’t beg you or anything for another chance, it’s just you on your own begging her for another date. The fact that she blocks you only reinforces that frame. She was in control here, you were not.
Lol, it’s like you read some dating advice and are trying to cherry pick tactics rather than being congruent which is your problem.
She won’t give a fuck if you talk to other girls, she isn’t emotionally invested in you for her to give a shit, you are the one who is far more invested than she is which means that she still has all the power.🤦🏽♀️
It’s you who is emotional about this girl, trying to chase her, and trying to make things work whereas she is not even trying at all.
Lol, it’s funny how you think you are in control of the situation when you clearly are not, and are in a position of weakness rather than strength , which is super bad when it comes to seducing a girl
Like what you gonna do for engage in the gym?
You: Hey what’s up?
Her: “Dude i blocked you leave me alone”
Move on

Dude, you had it. It’s not whether they bail (things do legit come up); it’s whether they work with you to meet in spite of it. I get it, that experience hurts, but she was trying to work with you. If she really didn’t care she woulda just left you hanging with a “sorry can’t make it” or worse yet, just ghosted.
If she bailed on you twice, that response would have been warranted. Even then, a ghosting or some conversation terminating statement is better than a grand declaration. Don’t state your values, demonstrate them.
Also, don’t let a bruised ego ruin chances like that. And if you do make a stand like that, don’t betray your character by then reaching out again. It just shows how butthurt you were.

Ignoring someone is childish. If you still want to try something, reengage and act as if the whole meet up did never happen. Another week later, after things between you two have normalised again, you can try another attempt to meet up with her.

We texted a bit and arranged to meet up. She ended up bailing last minute which pissed me off because I was waiting around for her until like 9pm so that was my whole evening gone basically.
Always have a back up plan.
She asked to rearrange for another time but I thought why should I? You just wasted my time and not gonna bend over backwards to meet you. I expressed this to her over text just saying I’m a person who values my time and I said nah I don’t want to go on a date, I’m good.
What's the point of texting this? To make yourself feel good? Just say "no" and move on.
I left it about a week and then text her again saying I’m willing to give her another chance. But by that point she’d blocked me.
Ugh. So you acted like a needy baby and then you tried to make up for it by looking like a douchebag. Ok.
Recently I’ve seen her at the gym. And am now unsure what to do. So far I’ve been ignoring her. I don’t find it particularly awkward but I don’t know whether it would be better to reengage her and clear the air or just move on.
No you completely fucked this one up. Move on and find somebody else. You are way too emotionally invested in this girl.

Move on . Here is what you should have done.
So you start chatting a woman up at the gym right. No need to ask for her number during the first interaction. Leave the conversation on a high note and pick up the conversation again next time you guys meet up at the gym. Now you have had two interactions and chances go up a ton of more investment.
Getting a woman's number is not her investing in you. So that shouldn't be your goal.
Never get angry. A girl stands you up and waste your time, a man who is in demands moves on to another woman on his list and forgets about this interaction. SHowing strong emotion means you are way more invested than she is and no woman wants that.
If someones blocks your number or your social media, that means they block you in real life . Don't confront them. Women do not want confrontation , hence why they ghost and flake. DO NOT approach her at the gym. Just forget about her and let her live her life and you live yours.

It’s probably a lost cause. I think your text to her was kind of harsh, and that’s probably why she blocked you. If you don’t notice her looking at you/making eye contact with you - then just let her go. She’s not interested anymore and probably won’t care if you approach other girls.

I think that’s a dumb mentality. There’s always hot girls there and they share an interest with you. Why wouldn’t you approach? Sure it’s hard but once you get past the mental block it’s fine. Every approach I’ve done at the gym so far I’ve had a positive reaction to. It’s high risk = high reward and girls like it cause it takes balls.

First smart thing I've seen you post. But, then if it goes wrong you have to see them over and over again unless one of you changes gyms.

Literally mate. Didn’t know everyone would get so triggered 😂. Probably because they couldn’t do it themselves. Yeah it’s great but yeah if it doesn’t work out…well one of you are moving gym I guess…nah but seriously it’s not that deep. I’ll just play it by ear. Not over ally bothered about this particular girl it was only because I keep seeing her and couldn’t decide what to do.
Im still learning but got a fair bit of reference experience now.

You can’t have your cake and eat it too - she wasted your time, sure, but she was willing to reschedule. It’s fair to not want to accommodate that, but you’re acting like a bitch if you think not talking to her for a week & then trying to get “social proof” is going to make her suddenly want you again.
You had a chance and you blew it.

What? She’s the only girl in the gym? Find another one dude.
