If you haven't made a move and she doesn't know you're interested in her then yes, you're over-reacting. Her comment about your brother has nothing to do with what she thinks of you. It just means that she is interested in him, and apparently not in you as anything more than a friend.

She wasn’t implying you’re ugly and short. She was implying she likes your brother. You can both be attractive and tall, it’s not one or the other. But if she’s attracted to his hair, or his eye color, or his style of clothes, or whatever else of the plenty of things, it’ll attract her to him. Just like how she might have an attractive as hell friend too right beside her, somebody named Alena whose funny, compassionate, kinky as hell with wavy light brown hair and looks awesome in two piece lingerie and is a monogamous seductress who could be an awesome partner for decades to come to the right man for her - but you like how this Brooke’s hair looks with its blonde color more for whatever reason. Does it mean Alena’s ugly and undesirable? No. It just means Brooke is who caught your eye by a manner of subconscious attraction factors. That’s fine. That’s how we operate.

People are nitpicky. There’s billions of us, we have to be, or else there’d be trillions of us. But if you make a big deal about her having her eye caught by your brother instead of you, you’re gonna dig your own hole. Focus on cutting the feelings and meeting somebody else though. There is no safe recovering from this in a way that makes it in 20 years you’re happily married and she’s never thought about or flirted with your brother again. She ain’t your best match.
