It really doesn't matter how much you like her if you're not compatible. If she wants the dude to pay for everything and you're not in a position to take that burden, it won't work. Find a modern girl who goes halfsies, let her find some '50s chivalry type.

But also keep in mind… what somebody says they want isn't always necessarily what they want. She says she wants a guy who pays her way. Well, let her actions tell you, rather than her words.
