The one characteristic that I’ve observed with guys who are bad with women, and I exhibited myself when I was bad with women, is making excuses.
You have to put yourself out there, experience getting rejected, experience having success.

This is true but it’s the ratio of these two things that keeps guys at home. Rejection is far more present than success. Thats what you’re missing buddy.

With good/fun non judgemental friends, rejection becomes hilarious,. Sometimes we intentionally tried to burn out with a girl

Gotta have friends like you

If you live in DC I'd be your goofy friend 🙂

Sadly not but keep up that energy bro

Tryna go out and meet some ladies? I’m close to DC!

Part of my reluctance stems from the places I frequent. If I want to hit on a girl at the gym, but she rejects me, then I have to deal with seeing her again and again.

This hits home hard…

Yeah bro. I read this and instantly felt like this is a common trope that many men fall into (myself included in the past). You really have to learn to put yourself out there and take risks. Once you get a good experience, it reinforces in your brain that risks can also be rewarding.

Do it outside of work, talk to attractive and not attractive women gain experience

Excuses excuses. Whatever let's you sleep at night (alone)

I can relate. But I know it's not the best course of action. You need to put yourself out there. A woman will probably barely go out and still find a guy, but if a guy stays home all the time he is very very likely to go unnoticed.

I can relate. I always need to push myself to leave my comfort zone. The thing is that most of the times when i got out of my comfort zone, i had an awesome time. :)
[–]Vvzy 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I do brother. All these contradictory reasoning lmao
[–]mistahARK 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Why can't you just let a man express himself and let it be what it is
[–]vardarac 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I mean, if you really don't care about sex or relationships that's cool I guess but then why post it in a subreddit about trying to improve at those things
[–]Yokowi 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly , lol. Don't see why this is such a puzzle for some
[–]TTV-DontEvnTrip 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The fact you are relating talking to women as getting in trouble seems like you have to fight some creeper issues you have going on. Not every conversation should be about anything sexual or lead to that. If you were just being friendly or getting to know someone you would not be concerned about losing your job by talking to a co-worker of the other sex. Also this I’m ok with it attitude is a lie you obviously have an insecurity about this and most likely would like to be able to communicate better with women you like. Which is something people learn, nobody is born with game.

Good job not shitting where you eat. One of my bosses couldn't keep it "tucked" and unfortunately, instead of firing him, they just made him permanently remote. More people need to separate work/play. IMO no one should get friendzoned faster than a coworker.

I don’t go out on my days off to mainly meet women, I go out to hang out with friends. We might goto a different restaurant/bar that we want to try or goto a concert event to enjoy some good music. And if I hit it off with a girl at any of those venues, then it’s a bonus. Unfortunately I have a rotating work schedule so I don’t have weekends off all the time.
If you don’t care about being social or work on improving yourself mentality/physically, why TF you posting on this sub?

I feel you on this post, but sometimes the rewards of the former are greater than the effort spent trying to get laid. Not all people are worth the effort anyway.
[–]King8Kaista 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I am similar. I make excuses with pursuing women I work with.
