Haha this is probably so recognizable to anyone thats older than you, we all remember feeling like that over things that would be totally irrelevant to us nowadays. Its all about how much you care about what others think of you and how they perceive you as opposed to living for yourself and what you think about yourself. Whatever we say probably won’t make you feel different now, but you will live ( I mean this mistake won’t kill you) and by that you will in hindsight realize that it’s not that bad and probably no one really cares and if someone cares about pity shit like that you probably don’t want to be around them anyway. Ofcourse in high school people give each other shit about nonsense like that and it can control your whole world, but in the end it’s how you deal with it. If it means nothing to you and people give you shit and it doesn’t hurt you and you can laugh it off with maybe something like damn I was stalking you 3 times, I fucked up, I guess I should go back to live stalking and sleeping in the bushes in front of your house. Its basically done

I found miself to be in relationships that had people telling me all kinds of excuses to not be with me. It was a few months ago that I started to tell others this.

Your quality time is made to have rules, so you won't hurt or be desperate. Some will respect that, others are just a waste to your time because they will have another excuse.
My friend I like that you have trouble being desperate, but if you settle for every situation that you don't like you'll never grow out of others butts.
Also I'm 28, I lived trying to understand how to not be desperate for a loooong time. Had a bad long relationship, and really bad friends. My life turned around when I started to make the rules for my lifestyle and satisfaction.
