You talked too much and waited too long. You're supposed to talk and have a good time, then ask her out so she knows you're interested in her "like that" before you talk more. Otherwise, she knows enough about you without the context and she won't have any reason to value that information.

It's always made more sense to me to talk first, get to know each other and then express interest but that's not how the order works. For some reason, you have to express interest first and then get to know each other after thats been established.
