I have to say that I found him to be pretty bad. I know why most people would think it's great (confidence, outcome independent, etc etc) but he was not smooth at all. Most prominently, There were several moments where he was milliseconds away from an awkward silence, and he disqualified himself way too much while making the exchange too serious. He literally begs for their attention!

All of this IMHO, but again, I really would just give a 6/10 to this one.

She is indeed way better than him :P

Brilliant recovery. Watch from the beginning. Some thoughts:

Both girls may or may not have boyfriends, but either way, the "we have boyfriends" line was just a handy excuse.
Should he have been so adamant about getting their numbers? I don't think he should have been so confrontational. He could have progressed much more naturally to a # close at the end. On the other hand, his approach did allow him to use the "just friends" disqualifier.
Daniela (the blonde) is right, Vitaly does have a great personality (based on this video). His attitude is solid as a rock but lightly humorous.
From her body language, it was clear Melanie wasn't interested. She leaves the middle position in favor of Daniela's side, walks away at one point, and otherwise stands still while Daniela sways animatedly. I'd like to know at what point Vitaly chose Daniela as his target. Was it a reaction to their reactions, or did it just work out for him?

Watch it from the beginning guys. The part where it starts from makes it seem like this guy has shit game when in fact he didn't do badly. He also has a ton of confidence. Obviously i'm sure his looks help and the cameras help too.

Had to see the whole video to get a perspective, and i agree, this guy seems awkward, but he did create IOIs on the blonde one, and new how to read both of the girls, to see which one was the most viable target. Not y kind of cold approach but it seems to work for this guy.

Also DAMN that blonde is hot, and seems to have a good personality too.
