The reason most men approach a woman is because they are interested in having sex with her. Any time you are not being direct with your intention to end-up fucking her, you are not telling her your honesty.

He recommends talking about interests, hobbies, making random statements about her, etc. Basically engaging in nice conversations instead of letting her know you want to end up fucking her. That is hidding your intention. That is NOT being honest and truthfull.

Again, 1st part about showing your desire, not being needy, vulnerability, polarizing was great. But in the 2nd part he doesn't follow his own advice. He advocates for disingenuous small talk.

Then why would there be a need to be disingenous and pretend it's not about sex or that sex is not the primary reason for the interaction?

The fact that you should not go "honestly" straight to the point is that it will break that tension.

That's some BS you think would happen. When I talk dirty to the girl, the tension increases. A woman is attracted to boldness, vulnerability and non-needines.

That's why it's so ironic. In the first part he describes the perfect basis for being direct. Then he transitions into not being vulnerable (opening yourself for rejection). In the 2nd part he describes how to be needy (talk about stuff you don't care about in hopes of her attraction).

If you are not willing to listen to her stories and make some personal connection. Go see a prostitute.

I care about those things after sex. Before? I could give less fucks about it. And if you are going to be honest with yourself, you'll likely come to a simmilar conclusion.

I can't remember the book in it's entirety, I was also listening to the audiobook version and I tend to fall asleep listing to them, but I don't think it is contradicting itself there. Being honest doesn't mean you need to be a caveman about it, and take it by force so to say. Women love hints, and innuendo, but also to get her to trust you, which is a super important issue, you have to talk about who you are.

That is hidding your intention. That is NOT being honest and truthfull.

How is smalltalk disingenuous? Smalltalk is basically what we in the IT-world call a "handshake", a period of time where two systems (in this case you and the girl) negotiate your values and social compatibility before going over to the real talk. This is social 101.

I want to ask you an honest question: How many women have you slept with in the past 356 days? I would wonder if that number was even 1, since you display a high level of social incompatibility, and to get laid this way, you have to be a real charming asshole while possessing model type looks. This is funny. This reminds me of my best friend. He has nothing going on for himself, doesn't even look presentable at all, and he talks exactly like you. I think you misunderstand the definition of honesty. What you describe is called being __direct__, and i would say you could say it's brutally direct, which turns off a lot of women if you are not built for that. Don't get me wrong, I can get away with some real hard shit, because I have the right frame based on many years of life experience, but the beginner will painfully fail doing it, because, like a super hot chick once told me when I was escalating too fast for her, "This is too much".

From what I read I would think you were expecting something completely different, as in: "Which words do I have to say to her so she will get onto her knees, pull out my dick and start sucking", but it's not working this way if your perceived value is at most common, instead of rare. It's like trump said "If you're powerful and rich you can grab them by the pussy". There is definitely some truth to it in terms of: If your perceived value exceeds the standard by a high degree, women will accept a lot more bad behavior, and in some cases it even turns them on.

You missed the point of book entirely. It is not about getting laid nor Mark Manson advocates promiscuity or engages in relationship for the sake of sex.

The book is about taking care of yourself and learning to filter women out and only pursuing meaningful relationships with those you can be comfortable with while being true to yourself and honest with her. Its about learning to let go and not being desperate hence the term "Fuck Yes" where you pursue anything with a girl only if that is the answer to your question " Would I like her as my girlfriend?". Never pursue anything if you are not sure because you will not be true to yourself or her.

If you want just to get laid you should read other books.

Of course to not miss on those opportunities he is talking about getting sexual and escalating. The conversation material is just for the sake of filling the gaps for newbies and giving them tools of structuring their understanding of conversational mechanisms. Nothing more.

After the comment I can totally tell you are oblivious as to what you really want from along term meaningful relationship. Not meant as an insult. You have your own preferences at the moment. Sex plays a big role but it is not the endgame in Models.

First you have to filter out the garbage. It does not necessarily mean physically unattractive girls. It can be those that are cute but act in a way that is not in your taste.

Here are two examples:

There is a hot girl in a pub that acts all loud and cocky. She is sexy. I would fuck her. But I don't like her personality. She could be a part time gf or even better a fwb. I know that even without having sex with her. But it would be better to leave her as an ONS at best.
There is a cute girl that is quirky and funny but doesn't act all loud. She may have some skeletons that I am unaware of but I definitely choose her. Of course I want and I need to fuck her.

Now if we use Models approach I am left with three choices. I can choose 1. , I can choose 2.or I can choose both. The fourth choice (neither of them) at this moment is nonexistent.

If I want a meaningful relationship, I sure as hell don't want option 1. So that excludes the third option too of dating them both. I am left with option 2 which I will pursue.

I will use the tools at my disposal and those that Mark offers and as long as my answer of "Fuck Yeah" doesn't change to " Maybe" or a light "Yes", I will pursue things further. If sex is shit and sex means a lot to me my "Fuck Yeah" will be downgraded and in order to be true to myself and her I will need to fave the problem and try to improve situation or end things.

Or I can pretend and maintain communication which will eventually play against me in the long run because I will lose the sight of what I truly want.
