Just text them but not random like a normal conversation "Hi, Hows it going?" as you are saying you like them as friends rather than the latter two. Natural conversations work well.

If they initiate, then respond, but don't initiate often. Do most of your talking in person. It should be pretty similar to how you treat girls you want to fuck, just minus the escalation. You want them to think of you as a good possibility for their friends, not just a guy who they hang out with.

Fit it into your lifestyle, don't go out of the way to actively ask how they're doing, how was their day etc.. Having said that I do it quite regularly, but my txts are always fun and quirky which would get them smiling.

Chick friends offer a very different dynamic with their friendships and I say embrace it. Plus don't forget if u have a strong bond with them they'll definitely be talking about you to their friends.. So double win?

don't over think this... if you wanna be friends with someone and they happen to be hot and a girl, well then awesome, she can be a great wing woman. if you want things to stay platonic make sure to not treat them like you want a fb or gf; so if your gonna hang out with them try to do it with a few other mutual friends; maybe only contact if its to meet up/ hang out.

You still want to be seen by your platonic friends as "datable material". It makes them an advocate for you in wing-man situations.

Just keep the sexual jokes light or nonexistant and you're solid. Platonic friends are sometimes cooler to text because they keep you excellent company while with girls you potentially want to date, you should be only spending a limited amount of time texting them, only enough to build enough rapport and going for the meetup.

Fuck no. The only person I text regularly is my girlfriend, should I have one at the time. If I was more of a text-fanatic, then I suppose I would... I just don't care much for the medium.

You should make sure that your actual goal is to build platonic friendships. Worrying about what you should say to them is a friend-zone red flag to me, but I suppose you might just not have any experience dealing with female friends.
