Overall, I'd say it does increase your prospects if you know the language of the country...this should be a no brainer.

Other than that, I'd say most people would be pleased if your making an effort to learn the language, this includes girls. This should also be a no brainer.

Regarding your particular case, spanish people overall don't know english. Younger people are more fluent, but it's not uncommon to find a spanish girl that doesn't speak english. So learning a bit of castellano is a good idea. Plus, the language can be quite romantic.

Hell yes, it makes me fall for them more especially if they’re putting in the effort to bond with me through that, and I speak english more than my native language haha. Bonus if they show interest in my culture too.

Spanish is my first language and I'm living in an English speaking country. I appreciate a lot when I encounter someone who speaks my language, and when it's a girl, it's an instant turn-on.

In your context specifically, it can only help since it’s the local language and it shows you respect the culture.

In other contexts, learning a language to impress women is stupid as hell. It’s something you should only do for a long term gf or wife. Why? Because it’s hard as fuck, and is a mildly interesting novelty to other women who speak the language at best. In fact I’ve found showing interest in her background/language is a bad move and a vibe killer.

Spanish skills won’t get her into bed with you, game will.

Nothing more cringe than people trying to show others they can speak a language. If you happen to speak it it’s a wow. If you learn something to impress and or show it in that context it’s a supplicating negative
