The only thing that works is going out there into the field, reflecting on your session where did you go wrong? What did you do right? Then applying that information next session.

Yes, it helps a ton and no, it is not too time consuming. NLP is great for working on building self confidence and demanding certain emotions from yourself. I've explored it and it has been helpful…though admittedly a lot of its utility is outside seduction.

It's worth exploring if you have an interest.

I remember the first time reading about NLP and they mentioned that when you first look at someone, focus on their right ear to establish a deeper connection immediately. I'm open-minded but damn, what a crock of shit.

NLP is an interesting one - it is a bit faddy and a bit woo-woo, and similarly it's not hugely backed by science. However, I would say it's pretty good at letting you explore reasons behind why you do things that you do. It's a little bit like cognitive behavioural therapy in that way, and if your mind is open to it (I'm pretty sure not everyone is), it's completely possible to see everything in a very different way. At least that's what happened to me.

The underlying fact: everything you do and experience is preceded by a choice that you made. That choice was preceded by a variety of things, generally to do with your morals, beliefs and concurrently, typical behaviours. Once you recognise there is a choice, you start to realise very consciously how your subconscious beliefs etc affect those behaviours and thus, choices, and finally, your day to day life. The end goal is you become much more aware of yourself.

NLP has loads of visualization techniques that really work well... For people that can easily visualize, some people have loads of problems visualizing, making it difficult to help them with most of the NLP tools. Everybody is unique, I think that the best approach should be a personalized one, this is valid for NLP, as well as any branches of psychology, health, education, and so on

I have used a few nlp tricks that were useful. But the way some practitioners do it, seems like an extremely time consuming study and immersion in it as a lifestyle. There are other quicker studies with faster payoff.

Woo-woo fad that doesn't really work. It's more of a religion than a science, and their theories are unreliable. The field is rejected by academic psychology, and it's at the very least a misnomer, because "neuro-linguistic programming" makes absolutely no reference to some actual neuroscience or linguistics. And if they do, most of it is just plain wrong.

That being said, some of it could still work for you and you might find it helpful. Just not for the right reasons, if you ask me.
