Honestly depends what you want, but I’ve been double texted when I’ve been a little busy and it helped me prioritize someone who was more interested in me than someone else.

Double texting once in a while is fine. It can bring you back to her attention. But if you do it all the time, she'll eventually ignore it.

No. The odds of a woman texting you out the blue after weeks of no contact is very low. The odds she responds when you do are also low, but way less low than if you don’t text her. It’s no risk, high reward, so just shoot the second text.

No you should be persistent if she doesn’t respond after 2-3 days especially if she’s a very conventionally attractive woman. Before that time frame tho don’t do it.

I have no problem with double texting. I think it can be useful when used correctly.

I think what’s important is how long you are waiting to double text after your original message. If you are only giving them like an hour then it would come off the wrong way. I usually give the person at least 24 hours to get back to me before I double text unless it’s time sensitive

OP... The double texting rule is something men should be more fearful of than women. If I'm into a girl and she likes me and is texting me often... It's a definite plus.

Try to gauge what his attraction level is for you or what his intentions are with you. If he's just trying to mess around with you, the double texting might annoy him and get you left on read. But if he is into you for more, then texting him more often will make him feel like it's okay to also reach out more often

Girls should text 2-3 x amount the guy texts. More and you’re a clinger. Less and he’ll think your not interested and walk away if he has any self worth

everything is situational.

My partner (gf) double texted me when we first started "seeing" each other (we had been friends for a while). Now we're a few years into a LTR.

There's nothing wrong with it, just another weird anxiety we've made up as people since life is relatively "easy" these days.

But if you were to be like:

you: "Hey darling how are you today."

him: (no reply)

you: "helloooo? are you there? why aren't you texting back?"

Then yeah, after a couple times that is probably bad.

It depends on when you double text and the scenario of the double texting. It’s all situational. For example most people don’t care if you text one day, don’t get a response and then another text comes the next day or days after. Things happen. I’ve seen text where I saw it, I was interested in the person but I just didn’t feel like responding and another text is sent some time afterwards.

However if you sent a question and then 10 minutes later send another text asking why one didn’t answer, that’s a major turn off.

Another scenario is scheduling a date or meeting with someone. Because it’s a time sensitive situation multiple text are perfectly fine.

Double text coming from a woman (guy here) is great. It shows real interest and investment.

The reason double texting is discouraged for men is that it can make you appear needy to the woman, thus lowering your value (from her perspective) and decreasing her attraction for you.

But it’s different once the genders are swapped, since the way hetero attraction works isn’t symmetrical.
