I'll double and occasionally triple text. I'd never do it the same day unless it's the day of a planned date. Usually a few days in between. There's a fine line between persistence and neediness and if you can be on the former side of that line, you'd be surprised how well it can play out.

I would wait a day or two if it’s a new girl. If you’ve been seeing her I would give her a few days.

Kindof depends on the situation though. The other day i messaged a girl on FB, she had replied right away to first message, then i was setting up a date and she ghosted for a few days. In this case I didn’t see benefit to try and set up again.

However if your text is just like “hey what’s up” or something conversational, i think that’s fine to double text. But then on the second one i would skip conversational and just go straight to setting up a date

Edit: I feel like other dudes are right about her not being that interested if she’s not responding. But depending on where you’re at, maybe you want to push it anyway (at least i do). It’s not taking loads of time and energy to send one more text.

If I do double text I try to wait like a week or more. At that point I figure I have nothing to lose.

I quit double texting in highschool but that’s just me. It’s okay to do it everyone has there own preference if you don’t get a reply the second time move on and learn from it. It happens and nothing to do about it but keep moving forward!

If I’ve met someone on an night out I will text or call to reinforce first a “let me know when you get hime safe” or “thanks for last night we should do something soon”.

But honestly any more if I don’t get response I just move in and don’t waste my time.

I try not to but usually if i do double text and get no response I just move on. Clearly they have little to no interest.
