Maybe I’m a traditional guy, but personally for me the end-goal of seduction and pickup is to find a long-term partner. I have no interest in spending years of my life just sleeping with strangers/FWBs because that kind of thing doesn’t fulfil me as much as really getting to know someone.

But that doesn’t take away from the validity of seduction/pickup. Some guys get rejected before they’ve even secured a date - that’s where subs like this step in and help out.

R/Seduction isn’t concerned with the philosophy of pickup lifestyle or what have you. It teaches guys how to get dates, build attraction, escalate physically…. After that, it’s up to them.

To me seduction and pickup apply just as much to long term relationships as it does pulling a girl in the club. The more you know the better off you’ll be long term. What the angry feminists often do is deflect their problems and blame society while convincing themselves they don’t want or need a partner. Maybe they’ll find somebody great with that mentally or maybe they’ll sabotage every relationship they get in, but the lack of accountability prevents growth which is the opposite of what gets discussed here.

You don’t see a lot of woman hating here. It’s mostly strategies and self improvement, working on your game, your outlook, etc.

I’d imagine a hypothetical guy with lots of game and status who’s sleeping with a different woman every night would eventually decide he wants to keep one, and he’ll be well equipped to do so when that time comes.

Guys have a longer time before this happens because there will always be young women looking to marry “up”. Once a women hits 40 she will have a tough time finding someone to marry, unless it’s like a 60 year old dude. Men at 40 could find any women between the age of 20-50 honestly.

But eventually I think it would happen for a man too, prob at mid 50s. Can’t imagine it’s easy for anyone to find a meaningful relationship at that age, man or woman.

I predict you won't have to worry about this. You'll probably find someone reasonably high quality, grow weary of the constant battle to attract female attention, and buy her a ring. There are worse things that could happen.

Yes. For several reasons. Not to say anyone is doomed obviously, but honestly, being a player is way more likely to end badly than being a feminist or free-spirited.

The idea women don't find high body counts on men off-putting or gross is simply not the case. We might be more forgiving or willing to look past it if we've known the guy for a long time as friends, but fuckboi, rake, cad, and player are not positive terms when women are saying them. We want loyalty more than men even and if you've spent your life developing a body-count, not only can we tell, but it often makes us discount you as husband material.
Seduction is obviously a skill as is bedding lots of women. So are committed relationships and loyalty. That's a skill you won't have been developing. And after a certain age, this is really a red flag in a man. I don't want to have to teach you how to be in a healthy relationship and that's true for most women.
Look, depending on your type of seduction, you're a practiced liar and manipulator. And this is going to damage your ability to look at people and see their humanity and value. They become a series of scripts you have to read to get what you want. And it's all about you. And that's now how real and healthy committed relationships function.

That's just off the top of my head. But I will say having grown up surrounded by guys much older than me and now seeing where they're at in their 40s to 50s, the players still aren't married in most cases and the puss is drying up fast for them because most men aren't 1%ers. That's anecdotal, but there's a reason I tend to criticize some of the seduction stuff here as unhelpful and damaging for all parties.
