If after making eye contact she looks down then she probably likes you or thinks you are cute. If she just looks away then maybe not right now.

An important thing about eye contact is to always hold it more then the other person, even with guys as well. This establishes dominance.

You might feel you are creeping them out when doing this but just remember if they are holding eye contact they are doing the same thing you are!

this is something I've been thinking about too. I get a lot of eye contact with girls while walking anywhere, and sometimes I have fun holding it until I "win". It's kinda funny and leaves me wondering if the eye contact I get is normal with everybody or not.

I read somewhere about when they look down normally it means they're submissive, if they look to the side they don't care. I think that was it.

It doesn't matter. Open any girl who makes eye contact with you who you're attracted to. I don't do it (certainly not at the gym) but that should be your goal.

I personally like to hold eye contact longer than the other person in MOST situations, but not all. Sometimes I like to hold eye contact for 1-2 seconds to show confidence, but look away before the girl and smile to myself while looking off a little to the side and a little downwards. It doesn't come off as strongly as "winning" the eye contact battle, and portrays a subtle shyness that I think some girls like. This is especially true for the 2nd or 3rd time I make eye contact with a girl (in a bar/party/etc).

I read some about what looks actually means. Whenever you make eye contact with someone it's very easy to project a feeling from one to the other (and vice versa). Whenever a girl shifts sight as soon as you make eye contact it actually hides the fact she is attracted to you, because if she didn't you would "see" it in her eyes (or rather feel that she is attracted to you). They might want to do that in order to keep their "social shields" up so they don't appear weak to others. Now you might say "But how do I know she wasn't just looking in my general direction and she shifted sight when she realized she was looking at me?", well, we don't just look different directions without a cause, she might have observed you subconsciously and was, in a way, checking you out. The other reason would be that she is using eye accessing ques, but she would look up or down while doing this. TL;DR: You are attractive, that's why they give you the looks.

A deadlock stare into a quick look away is a pretty solid indicator that she is interested in you(atleast physically). Same with fixing/adjusting themselves. I love walking in a room and having girls tease their hair. Such a great feeling. This one's less common though as there has to be a clear indicator that it was directly linked to you.

I love when this happens, I always get a great old big cheesy grin and do the cheesy double point gesture as if to say "Caught ya mirin' ". It lets them know who caught who in the situation, usually gets brought up and laughed about when I approach. Whats equally amusing is the amount of respect you get when being confident in a younger crowd. I recently moved school districts and it was one of the most fun experiences of my life. Because I have this radiating confidence, I would walk down the halls and just deadlock eye contact anyone walking by. It was halarious to see guys that are 50 pounds bigger then me have their confidence instantly hit the floor as they quickly looked to the floor because the dust on the ground was much more interesting. Frequency tends to be key since it generally indicates that she is coming back to you with her eyes for a reason. A one time or really rare thing can be a product of other circumstances, such as talking a bit louder than everyone else or even just talking about something that catches their attention momentarily. Generally, if a lady thinks your eye candy she'll try to steal a glance more than once. This also makes for an easy approach since there are a lot of humorous quips you can open with.

What about when the woman comes to work out next to you.... that's gotta be a sign of interest right? I've had this happen several times with hot women each time. I can tell these women made a conscience effort to come next to the machine I was on when there were plenty of choices of the same type of workout nearby. I assume they were impressed by my prowess yet I do not initiate convo other than a simple "hello" because apparently (according to seduction) women don't like to be hit on at the gym. Perhaps they just want a whiff of my man scent.

I get so many lingering glances it makes me sometimes feel uncomfortable. In my head I'm thinking "Ok buddy, we've done the 1-2 second glance and I've looked away already but from my peripheral vision I can tell you're still staring at me."

I think when it happens they are trying to apply the "who will look away first" test. This happens with both women and men. Usually I look away first because quite frankly, I don't give a damn who looks away first.

Although I try to smile at everyone who lingers, the average response from people is just more expressionless staring.

And I swear I look normal.

Eye contact is a good sign. I'm a good looking guy and catch girls doing this kind of shizz to me sometimes and it sort of creeps me out lol. It must be kray being a hot girl and dealing with that kind of stuff all day er day
