Texting and facetiming is more for practice during quarantine than as a way to set up dates in the future.

During quarantine you have the choice of (a) self improvement and practice, (b) trying to date girls as safely as possible, or (c) crawling under a rock. You do not have the choice (d) getting on reddit and whining and cursing about what other people choose to do.

There is never a quarantee someone will live up to their word and meet you. And again, this shit won't last as long as you think. 18 months? Dude, read something else than conspiracy theories. By the end of June I will be enjoying an ice cold beer at my favourite bar. That's sure. And if those chicks don't show up, I still have their nudes. Frustration is understandable in such a situation, but you should see a psychologist. You can use facetime for that, too.

What you're saying is brutally honest, but I wish you would have added more detail on why guys are wasting their time entertaining girls that can't/won't meet up right now. This time should be used to improve ourselves and stay in contact with the people we truly care about.

When this is all done dating won't be a main priority for most girls. Guys that want to meet girls at this time have their priorities out of wack. It's a sad fact.

I’m so glad you posted this even though this is truth that goes way beyond scope of this sub. Reality is not how long this will go on but how long until more people start moving on with living their lives as opposed to just fearing for them.

I think you shouldn’t expect much from quarantined women who want FaceTime dates. It’s possible they may be willing to meet up at some point irl but so many seem just bored at home wanting pen pals and nothing else. Kind of a waste of time imo. FaceTime, phone calls, etc have always been a waste...you really want to get to know someone it’s usually best in person.

Even the article on slate called men out for being so eager during this. Women want to be left alone when they grocery shop, not have it be turned into a pick up environment. There's a big difference between "100% completely back to normal" and "more normal." The former means a return to everything, including massive sporting events, concerts, music festivals, etc that bring together tens of thousands of people. The latter is anywhere on a spectrum between normal life and current life. The former could take 18 months. The latter definitely won't. While most people on here might consider bars, restaurants, movie theaters, and such just places to meet girls or take dates, they represent livelihoods for thousands if not millions of people. And these people won't have an unlimited appetite to have their businesses closed. Nor will customers have an unlimited appetite to not be able to not be able to patronize these businesses.

Regardless, I think Facetime is a good way for guys to keep practicing their game during the quarantine. What else do you want them to do? Nothing? Come on - some guys here are barely gaining the skills to talk to women and you're asking them to forego any contact with any woman for 18 months?

And besides, even if you're right and the bars don't open for 18 months, I guarantee that plenty of girls will be willing to meet up at a guy's place after a few Facetime calls. It's crazy to expect anyone, of either gender, to go without sex or even flirtation for over a year. Particularly for guys on this forum, many of whom are on here specifically because they want to get better with women.

If meeting girls isn't your priority right now, I completely respect that. But don't hate on guys for trying to do the best they can under the circumstances. Whatever happens, no one will have to wait 18 months to meet up with someone they met on a dating app unless that is a choice they want to make.

Lol, OP is the one in denial. Birx has admitted the death counts are inflated, Fauci wants to eliminate handshakes for good, Gates is a huge depopulation proponent who wants to force mandatory vaccinations on everybody.

If you get hit by a truck and have any kind of coronavirus in your system, and you die, you're counted as a COVID19 death. Meanwhile we have 17 million unemployed in the last three weeks alone.

If you think this will continue, you're either dumb, sackless, or both. Trump is leaving it to the states and the governors will soon run out of tax revenue if this continues past April 30.

I agree with avoiding feeding these girls attention but the premise for the post could not be worse.

I disagree. It's good practice, and if you have multiple girls lined up, there is a good chance that one of them will meet up with you after the quarantine. You are right that there is no guarantee that a girl will meet up with you afterwards; however, life doesn't give you any guarantees though. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't put your best foot forward and try though. Also, you are spreading misinformation. It is most likely not going to be like this for 12-18 months. China is already easing up restrictions which took them around 3 months.
