I got a girl's number the other day and sent her a message on Friday saying I was going to a huge city-wide party 4-hours away with friends and that she should come. I knew she would say no, but I just wanted to initiate contact post-meeting and let her know I do cool stuff with my friends. She said she couldn't, but that we should get together sometime.

Today I sent another text telling her that there's a new museum opening tomorrow and that I was going to go visit it on Thursday, and asked whether she wanted to join me and then we could get some coffee. She replied saying she is a bit sick, and that Thursday she gets out of work late, but that tomorrow she was going to a concert and asked if I would like to join.

I'm thinking about what to respond. I want to neg her a bit on the being sick (as in: "so you want to infect me"), but I'm not very sure what to do with the situation. Going to the concert seems like I'm giving her the upper-hand (plus I might find myself in a situation where she knows everyone and I don't). She didn't really mention who she was going with, except for the fact that one of her pupils is in the band. If I go, should it be alone or with friends? Should I just try to reschedule my original date plan?
