My first suggestion is to AVOID DWELLING ON THIS TOPIC ON THE INTERNET. At all costs. Don't become a fucking guy who spends years on the internet reading about how to get women. Go out and hustle. Try stuff. Experience successes and failures. Don't take failures personally. Observe what works for you and others, observe what your friends that are good with women do differently. It's probably very subtle. Now is the best time of your life to take action. Do it now.

I think of flirting as challenging and teasing. Many guys are so eager to please women that the whole idea of challenging a woman becomes almost rude to them. Don't get into this stupid mindset. It's not rude. It's a service to the girl. It's way more fun and interesting to her than being a guy who always tries to be nice and adapt to reactions. Make her react to you. It's pretty easy. You can just observe things about her personality, looks or interests. Give her a playful nickname. Also it's a lot about presentation. You can't just be saying monotone lines and giving her a blank stare like a serial killer. You have to say it in a playful tone, have a cocky smile and solid eye contact. You have to show in your body language that you're coming from a certain place.

Without going into specific game techniques, I think the easiest way to flirt is to ask open ended questions/make assumptions, actively listen, and use the information/topics girls give you to either tease them or make them laugh. This keeps you a mystery, let's girls talk about themselves, shows non-neediness (not trying to impress them), and actually listening to them as individuals (comfort).

Recent example that also shows other qualifiers: A girl I was talking to at a bar said something about everyone loving The Office but she was more of a Friends girl. I said, "You probably loved Ross," (assumption) and she said, "No way, I dug Chandler." I few minutes later, some tool comes up to me and asks if I was with her. I told him to shoot his shot (non-neediness). A few minutes later, she bailed on him, and I leaned in, put my hand on the small of her back (physical escalation), and said, "How did that not work? I told him to impersonate Chandler." (joke related to what she said earlier). She cracked up and didn't leave my arm the rest of the night.

Hey man! Fellow 17-year-old here. For the past few years I always thought I was an introverted person; I always thought I would never be confident/comfortable around girls. This year however, I went from being introverted/awkward person to actually being able to talk to anyone.

So what changed? Quite a bit actually, and the journey is not short. The one thing that changed is that I wanted things to change and I acted upon it. I started working out, actually approaching girls in school, discovering this sub, and I read this awesome book (highly praised by this sub) "Models" by Mark Manson. If you want to read it you can literally just look up a pdf version. (I also got my first job as a cashier and I had to talk to hubdreds of people and it really made me be myself and respected myself so that helps too).

Granted, I still get anxious and feel butterflies in my stomach whenever I think of approaching a girl, but everyone feels that way. After all, we're all humans, and no one is perfect. I'm still trying to improve myself and I'm not stopping anytime soon!

It’s more about comfort with yourself. Fuck everything and anyone that have made you think negatively about yourself (because why wouldn’t you?) and just have a good time. Speak to everyone from your point of view. Even if it isn’t popular. Go in like your interests are foremost because for you they are. Own your weirdness.

I’m not trying to tell you this is going to get you laid. I’m here to tell you that if you want to find your people then be yourself. Listen to other people, if you’re interested be interested, if you think you might be look into it. But if you’re not, you’re not. And that’s ok. It’s ok for them to reject you, it’s ok for you to reject them. Try to maintain friendly relationships even if they aren’t your cup of tea because they might introduce you to someone you remind them of down the line but never sell yourself out. I’ve had chemistry with women I’ve had nothing in common with and I’ve had zero chemistry with women I had everything in common with.

None of it matters if you’re holed up in a room...

Just take yourself seriously and get out there.

Flirting isnt necessarily a skill that you can just learn. Its a combination of traits and mindset. Being a good conversationalist can get you a lot further. Many people get into dating without even having any idea of how to flirt so its no big deal if youre not so good at it, however you cant use it as a reason not to talk to a girl, cause that shit weak.
