Remember me?

Went to Rancho Cucamonga and had a blast. Overall 9/10: Would Return.

The first part of the game started on my flight into Ontario/Rancho from Denver. Sat next to this lovely little Asian girl. I reached into my Day Game bag and pulled the classic "old man" game on her. She was sitting next to me reading her Kindle with no headphones on, as I was plugging through my analog hard copy of "Animal Farm" (which is a great book so read it anyway), when I simply looked at her and said "is that the new Nook?"

Note: I knew it was a Kindle. I'm a 25 year old man; there is no modern gadgetry that is beyond me. I did this so she would answer that it was a Kindle.

She started talking about the Kindle, and I kept feeding her questions like "do you like it?" "How much did it cost?" "Did you buy it in a store or order online?" etc. until she asked me a personal question. Then it was on. I discovered she was from Chicago, so we talked about that for a while. I also discovered she was staying only a few miles from me, so at the end of the flight I asked her if she wanted to grab dinner that week. She seemed excited and swiftly plugged her phone number into my phone. Unfortunately, I was on the liquor the rest of the week and completely forgot to text or call her. Oh well, you can't go wrong with a #close on a plane, so I'll take the reference and a put a tally in the W column under "Day Game Stats".

The rest of the week was a crap shoot. I discovered that Cali girls are a lot like Minnesota girls. You approach, you get denied. You approach, you get to chatting.

I think the fact that I was out of town was either exciting for some of the girls I talked to, or a total deal-breaker. Surprisingly very few girls seemed interested in a one night stand with a Hobbit from the Midwest /sarcasm.

Got two phone numbers, one from a tall brunette who was in Ontario with the promise of a dinner Thursday which never came to fruition, and another from a girl who was visiting from Iowa, which is close to be but as into it as she was, I don't think I'll be hitting her up.

All in all, I had a blast. To all the Californians here, thank you for the hospitality and also for inventing Ballast Point's Sculpin IPA, as that particular beer made sure I had long nights and wonderful memories in the IE.

Final Report:

Day Game on plane = #close

Cold approach at bar to ~10 women resulted in two #close but nothing else.

State and Frame maintained. Drank tons of delicious beer.
