I was just dancing, minding my own business with a few girl friends. It was slipping past midnight, I had a couple of drinks in me, and the DJ just put on some Michael Jackson. I could not have been happier, just performing a full body freakout.

Oh yeah, I wanna be startin somethin.

She started hitting me with the end of her scarf. I was like, okay, I know what that means, so I danced over intending to say some silly shit in her ear. Instead, she kissed me. Well, all right. It is that time of night I guess.

More dancing, more making out, some ass grabs. Finally I'm like, okay, let's get out of here. She agrees and begins making preparations.

The purse hunt begins. Legislation among her council of friends is introduced. Purse is found. All the friends have to submit their votes. After about five minutes of this, I'm getting annoyed and feeling supplicative, but finally we're heading out. I guess I got approval from the Council.

She's wearing my hat and I'm wearing her jacket. I grab my hat back but I still have her little jacket on which is making my arms like a T-Rex. We're out of the club on the sidewalk and she's holds up a finger in a "Wait one minute" gesture.

I point at the sidewalk. "Come to me." I want to hear her reason for going back in. Well, actually, I want to see if she will qualify her reason.

She ignores me and goes back into the club. I wait about five seconds and look back up the stairs. No one is there, which is good because I don't want anyone to catch me caring if she's there or not.

In my AFC days I would have chased her all over the club trying to talk her into going home, and it might even have worked, but fuck that. That would be her settling for me, not her winning me, and I am the prize.

I take off her jacket, hang it on a parking meter and roll out.
