Epic Failure – huge blow out – I was awkward and creepy

So I went out with friends to one of those urban towns, where the streets are littered with stores and bars, and there are a ton of people everywhere. I grew up around this area, but moved out years ago, and went from being a wannabe thug to a wannabe pua.. There are a ton of hot exotic latin women walking around almost everywhere, but most were with some pretty menacing looking dudes and I didn’t want any trouble, knowing very well I wouldn’t be able to handle it. I don’t usually drink and my tolerance to alcohol has dropped quite a bit, but my friend wanted to stop by a bar that we passed so I joined him. He bought me a drink and I reluctantly drank it like an alcoholic being tempted back. I got a buzz really fast, and guzzled the drink down. We really only wanted to grab some food so we left the bar and walked around until we found a pizza joint. Now I’ve been pretty damn rusty, and since I’m a noob who has been reading a bit too much, watching videos, etc and not really practicing in field, I had a feeling things weren’t going to go smoothly. They didn’t. So we get to the pizza place, and I see these two really hot Latina girls sitting eating pizza with another guy and girl. The two girls were sitting really close to eachother, but I didn’t think anything of it at the time. They were hot and one of the girls had a pretty nice set of tits. Now I had to piss super bad so I went to the bathroom and when I got back only the two girls were left. I sat next to my friend and I told him I was going to talk to those girls. Now lately I’ve been worried about failing so I told myself that the only way to learn is to FAIL

Mistake # 1 – So I opened in the worst way possible, instead of talking to them from my table or walking up to their table I went up to their table and just sat down. YUP, like a creepy as motherfucker I just sat down. I don't know exactly why i did that but it just seemed really comfortable to sit at the moment. This right here is why I don’t drink, lol, and its funny because I didn’t drink much. Luckily I went out with the mindset that I shouldn't worry about failing and that i need to fail to actually see what works and what doesn't.

Since I’m still an AFC I might be wrong about this but DO NOT DO THIS. Basically do not just sit down without saying something first. Better yet don’t even sit down right away, just start talking and ask about something, anything. I should have went more indirect, and asked them anything, but I just couldn’t think of anything. I need a few easy openers that can work in a wide number of settings. It might be a crutch but sometimes that’s better than just winging it, especially when your mind completely blanks.

Mistake # 2- Well after sitting down, I was already stuck. They both looked at me like WTF, and they both said, "what are you doing?, that is so weird and creepy" I just said I wanted to ask them a question and say hi, but they just said that it was creepy how I sat down, and that they don't even know me. I was okay but I just wanted to ask them a question.

Another Mistake - Now i was my typical NICEGUY self, smiling a bit too much AFC showing, and tried to mantain frame but just couldn't.

But My mind went blank again when I noticed they both had braces on.DING DING DING, these girls seemed young all of a sudden. So the only question i had in mind at that very moment was WTF how old are these girls, So I asked them if they went to school here, and they told me they went to the local high school. I tried to plow and ask a few more stuff but they weren't having it, and i was looking for my exit. I just wanted to reaffirm through by not appearing like a creep, while they repeatedly told me that it was weird, and that they don’t know me, and they are about to leave if I don’t leave. I tried to maintain some level of frame here, and I just tried to make it not seem like a big deal but damn it, I knew I fucked up, just wasn’t expecting such a strong negative response. So I just told them I was leaving, and went back to my table. They also stayed at theirs.

So I got up and left there table, ordered my food, and just sat with my friends and ate. We laughed about it, but I still felt pretty shitty inside. As I was sitting there one of my friends told me those girls were both lesbians dude, and sure enough they were both feeling eachother up under and above the table. I guess their closeness that I noticed at first just didn’t register to me. I still laughed it all off, but man it still stings a bit. It was a harsh lesson, one I probably needed to learn.

TL;DR – Tried to open two girls who turned out to be underage and in HS, possibly lesbians. I also went creepy as fuck and got blown the fuck out in epic proportion. For reference I’m 25.

So seddit were you ever called creepy while you were starting out? Did you ever act like a creep or fail just as miserably.
