Friday night I head to my friend's house to have a few beers and play video games. I end up smoking a lot with his roommate, which is uncharacteristic of me. My buddy wants to go out, and I agree, curious as to how I will do while stoned.

We get down town, and I am totally out of it. Just following behind him in my own head. We are bar hopping around quite a bit, looking for the right atmosphere. Upon entering a bar, a HB 8 and I make eye contact, so I walk right up to her:

"Excuse me," I said. Then.... nothing. She turns around to face me, and I just stare at her. "Oh, wait, I don't have anything to say, nevermind." I eject and meet up with my buddy further down the bar. I'm laughing hard while telling him about my failure, when the same girl taps me on my shoulder.

"Hey, what did you want to say?" She asks with a HUGE smile on her face

"I don't know, I can't think straight right now." I respond.

"Oh." She still has that big ass smile on her face.

"I smoked a lot earlier..." She keeps her smile after this, but I can tell interest is lost. She is still standing there smiling at me, and I can't fathom why she would do that. Suddenly, it all comes clear. I feel like fricken Sherlock Holmes, so I give her a sly smile. "Ohhh, I know who you are." Her smile faltered

"What do you mean, who I am?" She asked.

"You're a hooker!" I declare with all my confidence. Smile gone.

"I'm not a hooker, what the hell!" She turns and leave. I've felt really bad since. I did give her a quick apology on the way out, though.

Anyway, just thought you guys could use a laugh. If you wanna get something from this field report, notice the instant attraction that I built here. The second I noticed the interested eye contact, I walked right over to her and said "Hi." Even though I made a fool of myself directly afterward, the attraction was still there until I completely destroyed it.

You could also probably look at the "assume attraction" bit of it all. If I had thought that she would keep standing there to talk to me because she was attracted, then I wouldn't have assumed she was a hooker.
