I'm 19 and in college.

Perhaps it's a culture thing, but most of my friends and acquaintances have this social gathering where they meet up together, usually at a late hour (11pm to 4am) and just sit around the park or the dorm. The first part is where we'd play alcoholic drinks for fun, the second part is when people start letting go of their inhibitions and share secrets: talk about exes, relationships, current interests (who he/she find good-looking etc), etc...

Since this seems to be a pretty specific topic/event, I've yet to find a guide on this subreddit that specifically talks about this. The first part is quite straightforward, and most of pickup would apply (fun vibes, kino, etc). But the second part is quite difficult to pinpoint. It's where one must become vulnerable, and it's where a man's inner game has the chance to shine or fail completely. How should we manage this situation?

During this part, I tend to overtalk. I tend to draw analogies that are quite weird (e.g. "my attention span is like an action potential, i'm either meh or super-passionate about something"). etc etc. I also start worrying about what others might think, especially when it comes to personal topics such as "what kind of person do you think you are", and I tell them a lot of things that the PU community has taught me (being more selfish with your time, working on self-improvement, etc etc). The fact that I'm saying these things seems like I'm seeking their validation, when in actual fact (they usually respond with "wowww...."), whereas I'm just telling the truth.

What do you guys think?
