I don't think I'm breaking any rules here but looks seems to be massively underplayed on this subreddit and any mention of it usually gets you downvoted. I see questions like this all the time:

  1. "What is the aura some guys project"

  2. "How do guys get girls to approach them"

  3. "How to have success on online dating"

  4. "As a man, success in dating is directly tied to how well you handle rejection"

For the first three, it's pretty obvious it's looks. It seems that people are blinded by this fact because they were probably lied to their entire lives that it wasn't their looks that was holding them back.

The last one isn't true at all because here is why. Say you're selling a piece of crap car. You're going to get rejected time and time again and after a while it becomes frustrating as you're wasting all of your time (and money) trying to sell it. Say you're now selling a Ferrari for the same exact price. You're going to have fun because it is much easier to do. So please tell me how the statement above is in any way true. Also, always take the things to the extreme and see if they make any sense. If you're a 1/10 on the looks scale do you still think that statement holds true?
