OK, so here's what I've done so far with daygame:

• I attempted 100 approaches in a month in January 2020, and then attempted it again in February 2020. I learned that "100 approaches in a month" is not to be taken literally. But it conveys the right attitude. Do it a lot. Do it every day. I did as many as I could, and I ended up doing about 60 approaches in January, 60 in February.

• In March 2020, the coronavirus pandemic started, and I slowed down with my approaching. From March 2020 to March 2021, it was more like 5 approaches per month. Instead of approaching, I did online dating, and I got laid plenty through that.

• Recently, I decided that I want to start back up and do more approaches, at a high rate. Considering my current work schedule, I feel like I can go to the mall on weekends, and approach people there, and fit in maybe 4 or 5 approaches in a day, so that would be like 30 or 40 in a month. Sure, the pandemic is still going on, but I feel OK about doing approaches. If I go to the mall, everybody's wearing a mask, so that lowers the risk. Also, with the online dating during the pandemic, I've had girls come over to my house and have sex with me, so there's that mutual understanding between me and the girl of "we're not gonna social-distance from each other, we're gonna fuck." So I feel like I could find girls through daygame who would be willing to do the same thing.

• I haven't had sex with a girl from daygame yet. The furthest I got was that I number-closed.

• Recently, I started doing a lot of direct approach, and I start off with "Hi, you're very pretty." or "Hi, you're beautiful." In the past, I just did a lot of indirect approach. So, I would just be like, "Excuse me, what is that?" pointing to her coffee, and then we just have a friendly conversation about coffee for 5 minutes, and then "have a nice day." Now, I'm realizing, that's not going to get me anywhere. If I actually say "you're pretty" or "you're beautiful" or something like that, I'm conveying that I'm romatically/sexually interested in her. And then the ball is in her court. And then there's one of two outcomes that can happen, she could convey that she's not interested, or she could convey that she is interested. So far, none of my direct approaches have been interested in me. One girl said she was married. One girl was 15, so too young for me. One girl said she had a boyfriend. There was one who just said "I'm OK, thanks," and it was clear from the body language that she wasn't interested.

If I understand correctly, I have to use direct openers A LOT, like do it on 15 girls, and then 1 out of the 15 will be into me. Is that correct?

Here's what I've learned about daygame, from this subreddit:

• You have to think of it as a journey, where you develop skills in yourself over a long period of time. You have to keep approaching strangers, regularly, for six months or a year. The goal is sex, but that typically doesn't happen in the first six months. Isn't that right? For me, it's been more than a year, which kinda makes sense, my progress has been slow because of the pandemic.

• I should talk to both guys and girls. Is that correct? That seems counter-intuitive, because, again, the goal is to have sex with hot girls. But that's what people recommended in this subreddit.

• I should try not to ask questions. How strict is this rule? If I'm doing an indirect opener, it feels right to start off the conversation with a question, like "Hey, do you buy a lot of jewelry here?" I guess the idea is that it shouldn't be just question, question, question. I should do a mixture of questions and statements.

• I should focus on having meaningful conversations. After a direct opener, I usually go with "what's your name," and then I give my name, and I say something about myself, like, "I'm a grad student at University of Delaware.

• Even when I get good at this, and become a "master pickup artist," I'll still have approaches that fail. From what I've read, about 1 out of 15 are successful. So I just have to be persistent, and keep doing it after all the failed approaches.
