You attract women in long-term relationships because women in long-term relationships are bored. Single girls are often more selective, but girls in relationships look at a guy and see all the ways he is better than her current bf.

No that's stupid. Its not the other guy's problem your girlfriend cheated on you. It's your girlfriend. Going after the guy is a sexist attitude that comes from the time women were thought of as property and too stupid to think for themselves.

What?! Why? He didn't cheat on you. She did. It's not the guy's fault that the girl can't control herself. You're not threatening any relationships. Those relationships were fucked already.

Edit: to add to that as well - these girls are going to be going home with someone so why not let it be you? The damage is done already so why not prosper from it?

I wouldn't want to do that to anyone's relationships just like you so I know how you feel, I had my own ex do this to me. It hurts like no other, I was mad at the world but these girls are just insecure, desperate, and they'll get whatever they can get as long as you seem nice. In their mind they're most likely comparing you to their BFs and of course when you're at that point, everything seems better. These girls are easy and at a point where they probably will do anything for fun and attention.

As for single girls, they don't have anyone to compare to and if you're not standing out to them they can care less. This is probably a reason why it's easier attracting these girls with SO, since they see a lot of people better than their current SO.

Anyways no matter how hurt I am or have been with my experiences I will never do that to another person, I know people say it's not really your problem and it isn't but I don't wanna be "that" guy. I do things to others how I want to be done to me.

You shouldn't feel about them being cheating whores. If they told you beforehand, "I'm married/have a boyfriend," then that's on you.

Attractive girls get hit on so often that they're going to have shorter down time, if any, between relationships. Therefore, if you want 'em, you'll often have to go for them when they're already seeing someone.

Why do you believe that a girl cheating is the fault of the guy she does it with? She's the one who made commitments and violated them. She can take responsibility. The guy was just in the "right" place at the "right" time.

Don't be worried about the damage it does to them, (most of these relationships could be strained to begin with) be more concerned about the type of mindset this behavior can have on you. I used to go after the taken girls a fair amount. To some people this might be no problem at all, but for me going after girls with boyfriends immediately puts me in a scarce mindset.

I find myself getting into this mindset of "If only she didn't have a boyfriend... ah fuck it I'll do it anyways." This mindset is unhealthy because it implies scarcity (this girl with a boyfriend is the only one I can go for) and if you do pursue her it compromises your values (assuming you have them).

Granted it sounds like you didn't know these women had SOs while you were pursuing them. If you want to break this habit just practice telling yourself to not pursue taken women and that there are plenty of fish in the sea.

Honestly, I think it is just dumb luck that you've hooked up with a bunch of people in relationships. It's not your fault. I doubt there is anything you are doing to attract this type of people. Keep going out. Surely you will begin hooking up with mostly single people in time

Same thing happens to me dude. I have no idea why. Girls with bfs seem to like me far too often. You may satisfy a more base manly and aggressive option, while their bf may be a more nurturing type. Just what I'm assuming because I'm pretty aggressive.

We all have our own baggage to sort through in life. People inevitably attract those people who can deliver to them the lessons in life that they need, at that time.

As you work through your own baggage, so to, will the women you attract change.

Some people have addressed this, but I've got pretty specific experience that I think qualifies me to address this. I was married for 13 years. I was with my wife for five years before we were married. She decided there were problems with our marriage - without ever bothering to tell me so - and decided to embark on an affair with a real douchebag.

Now, I call him a douchebag, and he is. He knew she was married with several kids, and he still took part in this. And, by all accounts, this wasn't the first time. Morally, it's not really defensible to act like that, and he is a douche.

But did I go after him? No. I thought about causing him some trouble, but only in the sense that it would hurt her. He didn't pledge me any vows, he didn't make any promises, he didn't allow me to form my whole life around my link with another person. She did. If she hadn't been a faithless, cheating, slimy piece of garbage, it wouldn't have mattered one bit to me how big a douche he was. So why look for "revenge" on him? He just stuck his dick in a willing wet hole.

Now, if he were a close friend or something, so that he did owe me something, maybe I'd have more reason to want to hurt him, but that wasn't the case.

That said, purposely going for chicks in real relationships all the time wouldn't make you an awesome guy. And if you're looking for more than sex, it would be outright stupid. If she's willing to cheat on one guy, she'll be willing to cheat on another later. But hooking up with a girl who has a "boyfriend?" When you don't even know it? Who cares? Hell, if the guy finds out, he'll know he's with a chick who isn't worth making more than a "girlfriend." Crisis averted.
