How do you engage with someone working a front desk job?

By what you describe I am imagining you are like.... a UPS driver or something, and deliver to the same spot often...

Anyway, besides my guess... I think the best way to further engage somebody during the little snippets of time you have is to engage.

I don't of course meant mount... but if you are truly interested in a person, and they recognize you somewhat... ask about something they do in their spare time. Can even start off with something you have done recently.

The real trick is listen... Don't just hear, and wait to speak... listen and respond. (Hitch)

Don't be pressed to impress her, talk to her like a friend. She is working, and maybe stressed, be the friend she needs for a good laugh and a small break.

Be yourself, be honest, and just act like she is a cool "guy friend". It doesn't seem that there is any need to "push" this, as I assume your contact will continue.

I personally never flirt with people when they're working. Interact normally, they'll let you know if they're interested.

First day only Hi or good morning.

From second day. Start off by being nice but different. Like- Hi. She says hi. It's a lovely weather isn't it? Or- I noticed there is new furniture at the office. She'll say yes, then you can ask her why. You can even be humorous, like your boss is a real spendthrift. :) If she is very responsive, continue with normal convo.

Third Day. This stage is the neg. After the good morning n all that E.g.- You are definitely a workaholic aren't you? She might say yes or no. Go a little further in a light manner. I'm sure you wish that office is open on Sundays right? She'll mostly say Noo. Then say- oh well, it appears like that to me. See ya. N walk away..

Next day start the prper convo.... Maybe you can start off with "Hey, good morning, woiuld you like some chocolates." Or just say "Hi, we have spoken a couple of times, so let me introduce myself" . Just make good convo like a friend. Talk about kids and animals. The women love that. Maybe at the end you can give her some chocolates. If she gives her number or something then take it. Or else the next day make some convo again and ask her out to coffee.
