Hello all.

From (inconsiderable) experience with women, the times I succesfully made out with a girl at a bar I "saw the opportunity" and "just did it", without much thinking or feeling nervous. In those cases I guess my game was pretty good and I didn't run out of things to say. Unfortunately this hasn't happened a lot and I can't seem to recreate this moments. I think this is a result of beeing needy.

In those succesfull moments I obviously was non-needy, considering I "just did it". Reading about non-neediness I stumbled upon Mark Manson who suggests to practice vulnerability and improving yourself in order to become non-needy. This would suggest that if I work on myself and approach women I will become non-needy and then I can approach women without being nervous because I feel better about myself? That just doesn't seem to make any sense to me.

It sounds like I have to be non-needy in order to be able to approach women but in order to approach women I have to become non-needy first. Can somebody explain?
