Imo, it comes down to three things: How much time was invested before it became a LTR, and the duration of the LTR, and the distance. If we were together for a few years and have to be apart for a few months, totally worth it. If we have only been together for few months, and have to be a part for longer than we've been together, not so much. The kicker is the distance. Are we talking a few hours drive or a few hours flight? Those are the things Im really going to consider before investing in a ltr.

Waste of time. I have found that every time I got in a LDR within a few weeks I actually found someone closer by who was available. I think this must be psychological possibly a new found confidence in not being single any more.

Are you doing this for sex or for the feels? Because LDR hardly every works out for sex.

My opinion is that LDR works only if you met and were an item before the long distance. As in a gf/bf, then one of them had to move away for a bit, but will be back.

Otherwise you just got a penpal, brah. Fuck local girls.

If you want to waste a shitload of time and money traveling back and forth to discover your date is a fat girl who has been sending you 4-year-old pictures for a month, or have a chick just stand you up and ghost you because a guy with a slightly sharper jawline messaged her "hey" and a dick pic 30 minutes before you get into town, be my guest.

Or game where you are, get over your approach anxiety, and take a girl home tonight, with less than $30 out of pocket spent on nothing by your own drinks.

Its perfectly fine to have a "long distance relationship" but there is no outcome that you could want except for affection feeling excepted and or apreactiated

You can have it but dont use it as a crutch or all you will want is "LDRs" and its not okay the reason for texting is to get the girls to meet you face to face
