Long story short. I have been together with a girl for 2 years 2018-2020. We were young and it was a very sweet relationship BUT we had problems communicating.

We broke up in 2020 without even talking properly, it was childish. Both of us went through it very badly.

Fast forward 2 years later, in 2022 I wrote to her long message that I understood my mistakes and I want her back, I promise to be better etc. It was pathetic. She wrote me that she cant, she have a boyfriend, but she acknowledges that she is also to blame for mistakes in our relationship.

Fast forward today, 2024 - I wrote to her "what's up, how is life, how are you doing?". She wrote that it's okay, and asked how am I. I wrote that I am happy, I bought a house. I made a hint about her being in a relationship, trying to see if she is still in relationship. She ignored it. Instead she said "maybe lets meet in real life instead of talking here? but as a friends, you know".

We met. Started talking, she told me she is sorry for the way she was acting in a relationship and understood her mistakes. I told her something similar. She told me she always wanted to meet up with me but was afraid and felt stupid. She told me that she regrets writing to me "I cant get back to you i got boyfriend" in 2022. She told me that I changed so much for the better, with the decision to move out of parents and buy a house etc. I am all so hyped up that we will get back, but she says that "if it would be our first date then its not going well, it seems like the talk is not smooth between us. We would have to get to know each other from scratch". AND THEN at the end of the meeting she asks me "are you alone or dating?". I told her that I am single and asked "how about you?". She told me "I am with the same guy still, we are living together".

I am like, WTF? So why she wanted to meet up and tells me all these things that she regrets. But I kept my face straight.

I asked later if the her bf have nothing against her meeting me. She said "he is very jealous, so he doesnt know, but you know, I do nothing bad, we are just talking".

At the end of the meeting I told her "we should do it again some time". and she said "we will see :)". It felt like "no, I dont want to meet next time" I think.

I feel like she wanted to try out if there would be spark between us and if there would be, she would dump him. But our discussion wasnt very smooth. You know, it has been 4 years, it takes time to get the vibe again.

I wrote to her few days after that situation, sending old picture of us having fun. She sent me also some sweet picture of us that she kept. She is okay with chatting, but not a lot of initiative on her side.

HOW I CAN MAXIMIZE CHANCES OF GETTING HER BACK? I KNOW I CANT SHOW THAT I AM THE ONE THAT WANTS HER SO MUCH BECAUSE SHE WILL BE TURNED OFF. DO I KEEP TALKING WITH HER LIGHTLY, PROPOSE NEXT MEETING SOME TIME LATER, BUT NOT TOO EARLY? HOW TO BE SEEN AS SOMEONE SHE WANT TO GET BACK TO? DO I BRAG A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WOMAN THAT I HAVE MET RECENTLY, MAKE HER JEALOUS?
