Seems like you handled it pretty well.

The point of shit tests are to see if they can alter your frame. If this was during a date or something and she pulled out her phone, it was pretty rude and disrespectful to bring it up.

I don't like to play that. Go flirt with the waitress and see her react to it.

I would answer with a cocky attitude here:

and change subject. Don't give her any validation here by acknowledging the fact that she gets hit on.

Or you could flip the frame:

I've developed a habit of being genuinely uninterested in crap like this. I just pull my phone out, look around or imagine her naked. Usually takes them 10-20 sec to figure out you're not interested and they'll call you out on it. Just tell the truth or make some shit up, change the topic. If it was a shit test, you just passed. If not, you've saved precious moments of your life by not listening to her girl problems.

Either ignore it or accept and amplify. Get into a really indepth convo with her about what it could mean and go over theories. then be like "well I'm here now so fuck that guy, figuratively speaking"

I would tell her that it sounds like a pretty accurate assessment on her part, and then refocus the conversation on what I want to talk about.

She's most likely testing you. Saying something witty along the lines of "Really? I don't know what he sees in you." Sub Communicates: dumbass, I don't want to hear you attempt to validate yourself. Of course this needs to be done with strong eye contact, and confident vocal tonality.
