Congratulations for taking action, that's all that matters! The more that you approach, the more you'll know what to expect, you'll see trends and you'll gain confidence (you won<t be diving into the unexpected). Telling her that she's old was pretty bad haha but good job on saying whatever come to mind, you also gotta have fun yourself! I'd'appreciate the feedback from someone that's just getting started to see how much the app helps!

Also, you can try joining an improv class, it will help you come up with stuff quickly and under pressure. It can also help you to create fun exchanges with women that spike interest as opposed to the usual boring conversations (what do you do? where are you from?, etc...).

That approach made me laugh, I don't think you could have done it any better. Although I usually avoid asking age, unless I need to confirm she's at least 18, cuz it's a boring question. If they ask your age say your 21, I've been 21 since I started approaching at age 18.

Lol thats horrible. Did you really think she was your age? Ooof and that "you could be my mom" line is not something you wanna tell someone youre interested in. In all seriousness though its good youre conquering your fear. I think embarassing yourself is just part of the experience. Its anavoidable but itll give you some funny stories and youll get better. Next time youre afraid to approach someone think of what happened and this time but remember that you survived. If you can survive that surely youll be able to survive anything else that happens.
